Hacking a New Nintendo 3DS on Homebrew Review

Subscribe to Mistah MegaManFan for new content daily! After showing off the GameCube serial port exploit on the last episode of Homebrew Review, I thought showing off how to run custom firmware on your Nintendo 3DS would be a worthwhile follow up.

This allows you to region unlock your console and play 3DS games from any territory, as well as making backups of your games and running homebrew emulators like SNES9x. You should use the 3DS Hacks Guide for the latest info on how to do this, and of course be mindful this could get you banned from the eShop or online multiplayer if those things are important to you. PS: I recommend a New Nintendo 3DS (or 2DS) as it’s more powerful than a standard 3DS and many of the emulators and applications will run better.
