Dinner At The Thompson's is excited to celebrate the release of their new album, Off The Grid, and in doing so are giving fans a special treat with a brand new song, "Running," which also serves as the latest single from the album. With "Running," sultry singer Lucille Tee and innovative producer/multi-instrumentalist Fablive crafted a song that strays in sound from all their previous singles, instead utilizing a frenetic, string- and horn-driven track that, as the song title implies races along. Lucille's lyrics, in turn, spin a fitting tale centered around the never-ending search for fulfillment.
And the suspenseful song inspired an equally suspenseful video, overseen again by Parisian director Guillaume Cosson. Immediately after waking, the duo are shown frantically running around town, on a never-ending bustle, while the live-action footage is embellished with unique animation, also seen in their previous video for "It All Began," a sly trick that helps to create cohesion between the group's visuals. Wielding his super-powered Akai MPC, Fablive turns thugs into mini robots, street graffiti into a get-away car, and a dead-end alleyway into a doorway, while Lucille hits the high notes throughout the entire high-octane song.
