Homeboy Sandman actually linked Tenacity and J57 while he was out in LA recording over some of J57 beats for his Stones Throw album that's coming out later this year, since Tenacity engineers for Stones Throw. The rest is history.

MP3: @40Love - "Think Too Much"

From Audible Treats:

MP3: 40Love - "Think Too Much"

On July 24th, 40Love will release their latest album, Dreams Don't Sleep, and already the Bay Area foursome, comprised of MC/vocalist Miss Haze, rapper G-OFF, and DJ/Producers Mikos and The Whooligan, have been hard at work spreading the early gospel. Currently, 40Love is in Europe on a month-long, FTC-sponsored tour across the continent, and today, the group is excited to release the album's latest single, "Think Too Much."

Produced by Mikos, "Think Too Much" features a bouncy beat that G-OFF and Miss Haze lace with rapid-fire rhymes, and a refreshingly unique concept that G-OFF conceived while nervously awaiting a show. "It can be a curse and a blessing to over think situations, but its mostly deemed as a curse," observes G-OFF. "But everyone thinks too much, and if you can truly connect with everyone on that level, it diffuses the negative aspects of relating to others," adds Miss Haze.

Executing this concept presented the group with the unique problem of not only adding, as 40Love calls it, a "voice in the back of the head" character to the track, but also giving that voice the appropriate tone. "We ended up making it a self-effacing character," explains Miss Haze. "Making fun of some of our quirks, but it's ultimately a friend, knowing that thinking is a good thing."

Free DL: @JamiesonMusic - "I Came, I Saw Vol. 3 (EP)"

From JM:

Free Download: Jamieson - "I Came, I Saw Vol. 3 (EP)"

Jamieson releases the last installment of the "I Came, I Saw" trilogy. The London rapper has come a long way since the release of volume 1 in 2010, and it has been a journey full of challenges and triumphs, but 2 years later he's proven hard work and persistence pay off.

Jamieson's "I Came, I Saw Vol. 3" features production from some of his favorite producers from the US and abroad, along with features by longtime friend and fellow UK rapper K.I.N.E.T.I. K. , Shareen Amour and R. Notes. The UK rapper has already released 2 videos from volume 3; "Rebel With A Cause" and "I'm Losing Faith," with a couple more on the way including the video for his lead single "I Get Busy," already in rotation on MTV Base.

"Of all three EPs I would have to say this volume is probably the best representation of me musically, and probably the best depiction of my journey thus far. When I started working on the series, I had no idea what the final volume would sound like but I'm proud of how it all turned out and the journey I've been through." - Jamieson
