Kosha Dillz is going-going back-back to Cali-Cali and this time he's brought his crony Rapper Pooh along for the ride.  Produced by Matty Trump, the acclaimed producer of Sam Adam's debut album, Boston's Boy, "West Coast Flavor" is a feel good, rider anthem that sounds good any time of year...yes, even in November.  So as you get set to o.d. on tryptophan and bottom out your bank account with Black Friday around the corner, keep this joint in rotation as a reminder that summer is only 212 days away...oy vey.

Kosha Dillz is currently on tour in the midwest as part of his "You Canned DO It' where he'll be collecting canned goods for Food Banks in Minnesota and volunteering at a shelter in Minneapolis for Thanksgiving.

Tanya Morgan is excited to release their new EP, You & What Army, today. The group's new album is available digitally through their Bandcamp page, both as a free download and as a pre-order package that includes a choice of free, limited edition t-shirt.

For Donwill and Von Pea, You & What Army marks another defining moment in their careers, a melding of their solo and group work into a unified, fully-formed sound. "The EP is a natural progression, in that it blends the production sounds that you heard on our solo albums into one cohesive set of songs," says Donwill. "We also were conscious of people noticing that the trio is now a duo, so we wanted to ensure that this and all future projects have a different sound and feel than Brooklynati and Moonlighting."

The EP is a combination of what Tanya Morgan is known for: conceptually driven tracks, mixed with songs that further exemplify how they've grown over the years. "Songs like 'In The City' and 'We Rollin' – both sound like something different for us," says Von Pea. "They tap into parts of our personalities you haven't necessarily gotten to in this way before." Production-wise, Von Pea was joined behind the boards by Astronote, Aeon and Brizzo, all of whom have previously pitched in for Don and Von's 2010 solo projects, Don Cusack In High Fidelity and Pea's Gotta Have It.

Overall, Tanya Morgan wants to inspire listeners with You & What Army, which is evident in the title itself. "The message in the music this time is more about self reliance than it's ever been," says Donwill. "It's about changing the world around you using whatever tools you have at hand. It's what we have built our career on. Von Pea echoes that sentiment as well, saying, "The whole idea is about not letting anything stand in your way. It's so much bigger than music or us – it's life in general."

Revolutionary Juke Music: That's what BBU does. The Chicago-based group, made up of MC's Epic, Illekt, Jasson, and Perez, along with DJ Esquire, first turned music on its ear in 2009, when they released "Chi Don't Dance," a fun-filled record that positioned them firmly as the frontrunners for city's ever-steady and always interesting Juke scene. The local hit wound up garnering the group national attention, including a Best New Music nod from Pitchfork, and helped lay the foundation for the true direction of the group, mixing upbeat and synth-heavy production with social and political commentary reminiscent of Public Enemy and dead prez.

It's that sound that shows up, now fully developed, on the group's new mixtape, bell hooks, which will be released February 2012 and offered to fans for free download. Already, songs like "Please, No Pictures," a track that features Das Racist and production by The Hood Internet, have made their rounds, and now Mad Decent and Mishka are joining forces to help present the tape, while DJ Benzi will mix the project.

The latest single from bell hooks is "Outlaw Culture," a song that encompasses the breadth and diversity that BBU cover throughout their music. The song pairs a raucous club beat with the crew's powerful, poignant lyricism. "One of the most challenging moments was making the vocals sonically able to compete with such a huge beat." explains Epic, while Perez notes that the direction, lyrically and topically, was just as important. "We wanted to have a song that covered all the aspects of the working class; and folks of color, sisters, and queer folks that are overlooked within the movement but who are imperative to the movement," he says. "We wanted to make a song for everyone, but one that still sounded dope." Mission accomplished.

Blurb
Pages unleashes a blatant challenge to all pseudo-rappers and Hip-Hop posers with the release of his latest single, "Mainstream Nightmare." The song features strong yet soothing vocals by Juliet, contrasting the edginess of Pages' lyrics and backed by the glitch-heavy drums and eerie, distorted sounds of Nick Fury (of Liquid Shields), whose resume includes production with the likes of Anthony B., Ras Kass, Skam2?, Omniscient, and countless others. Pages has spent the last several years making his mark in the South Florida scene with consistent shows alongside the Out Of Hand band, who, together, have created a nationwide movement coined "Hip-Hop-N-Roll," merging the worlds of Indie Hip-Hop, Alternative Rock, and Skating. Look out for more from Pages in the upcoming months, including the official music video to "Mainstream Nightmare," which was partially filmed underwater and contains heavy, cinematic visuals.
