The Black Opera launched its first mission last year with Overture.  The 7-track audio demonstration was the first glimpse of the secretive conglomerate of artists and musicians that act as counter-cultural operatives.   Hidden in plain sight, Overture turned heads with production from 14KT, Apollo Brown, Rhettmatic, SlopFunkDust, J-Rell, and Nick Speed.  Mello Music Group is providing the people with this introduction, Overture, free in an effort to recruit more people to the movement.

UK Runnings Presents Mr. Melta - Meltdown Volume 2 (Hosted by Tricksta)

Courtesy Park Street PR.

The UK's longest running underground Hip-Hop mixtape series UK Runnings are back another blinding release, this time from Cambridge City's Mr. Melta. Following on from the first volume of his 'Meltdown' series, volume two is a fourteen track mixtape project that all fans of UK Hip-Hop will admire. Its diverse approach means that many flavours and styles are covered with the contributions of few guests too including Kosh, Zed-I, Offcut, Slang Immaculate and obviously Tricksta doing the Intro and Outro with all tracks being recorded & mixed by Rob 'Stirleng' Jason at Stirleng Studios, UK.

Mr. Melta's style is unique and he has a vibe that is positive and throughout 'Meltdown Volume 2' you can hear songs with strong messages as well as some more humorous and lighter tracks, as well as double tempo Grime tracks and tracks with strong hooklines and flows. Already getting love from some of the UK's leading Hip-Hop blogs as well as airplay on local & internet radio stations, Mr Melta also recently blessed Urban Vibe UK with an exclusive performance for their ##BringYourVibe series. The temperature is rising, things are getting hot. just be careful it doesn't melt you!

Courtesy Wanja Lange.

X the Detective has become one of Detroit's most promising new producers. His retro, organic, boom bapish and always hard hitting beats have made fans all around the globe. After releasing the "X Filez" EP in 2011 this will be the second collaborative effort of Mic Audio (Stereo Boyz) and X the Detective and "Thanos" is only a taste of what "X Filez 2" will bring in the near future. In the meantime X has lend his production for the new Stereo Boyz album, and is working on several different projects at the moment with Ant Live, June Mega from the Wu Wise Men album and more. Remember the name because X the Detective's beats are and will remain timeless.
