Today, Constant Deviants are happy to release their new project, Platinum: The Mixtape. Emcee M.I. and beatsmith DJ Cutt are generously offering up the 17-track collection for free through their SoundCloud, compliments of the Deviants' label, Six2Six Records.

The Platinum mixtape acts as a precursor to their upcoming album, Diamond, with the two titles representing not only the strength and quality of the music, but also playing on the idea of music sales certifications. "The album title, Diamond, is actually meant to represent the preciousness, hardness, and brilliance of a diamond," says M.I. "But we still felt that Platinum would be unique to name the mixtape, because before you go Diamond you have to go Platinum."

The mixtape's two singles, "Gotta Get Paid" and "Fulton St.," serve as the only two totally original songs on the mixtape, with the rest of Platinum boasting a wide array of other beats hand-selected by Constant Deviants, chosen to rework and make their own. "As an artist you always enjoy rapping over other peoples beats," says M.I. "For this project, I chose beats from different genres within hip-hop – some underground and some more commercial sounds to show diversity." Another standout track from the mixtape is "Dreams Are Free," a personal favorite of M.I.'s. "The beat is just so much different than the music we usually do," he explains, "but I just felt the need to destroy it and make it mine."

For Immediate Release:

Portland, OR - November 9th, 2011: Goldini Bagwell has long been a fixture of Portland's underground hip hop scene where his stand-out verses and featured appearances have gained him notoriety, whether it's been in collaboration with some of the city's best talent (Oldominion, Taco Neck, Liv Warfield, John Craig and the Weekend), or with his group Sandpeople. Fans have eagerly awaited a solo album and on November 29th, Sandpeople Music will proudly deliver Bagwell's much anticipated debut,Chainsmoke. Produced entirely by Pmpee Beats out of Lahti, Finland, Chainsmoke is an international effort and a fitting introduction to the man and myth that is Goldini Bagwell (aka Gold). True to its title, Chainsmoke is an unrelenting debut from an experienced artist, as Gold puts his vices, history, ambitions, and microphone-slaughtering skills on full display over Pmpee Beats' hard-hitting drums and soulful melodies.

"Bagwell" is the first single off of Chainsmoke and is a perfect theme-song to help you get better acquainted with the mysterious Goldini Bagwell. The picture Gold paints here is somewhat Bond-esque as he wanders through foreign countries on a secret mission to drink Jameson and capture girls' hearts. Like most spies, "Bagwell" has many enemies, including himself, but this only adds intrigue to the storyline. The same can be said for Pmpee Beats' production with its suspenseful string and piano blend and head-nodding rhythm. Get to know "Bagwell" and prepare for a healthy dose of Gold's Chainsmoke on November 29th.

Check out Goldini Bagwell on the remaining dates of the Skrill Walton Tour with Illmaculate & The Saurus. More info & tickets available @ www.irapbetter.com .
