Statik's worries are alleviated after hearing Duck Down's marketing plan to assure that his 'Extended Play' album, also dropping June 18th, will reach #1.

On June 6th, Iamsu! will release his new mixtape, KILT 2. The tape, which will be available for free download exclusively through LiveMixtapes, is the first solo tape from Iamsu! since his breakout $uzy 6 $peed, a tape that delivered hits featuring Wiz Khalifa, Juvenile, and others, and the new tape also serves as an official follow-up to Iamsu!'s 2012 release KILT, which SPIN named as one of its top rap albums of the year. Today, Pitchfork premiered the first official single from KILT 2, "Rep That Gang."

Death of a Salesman is the fifth album from The ILLusionists. It follows the band members over a three year period: struggling with a dead-end job, balancing that 9-5 life with a music career, and eventually making sacrifices to escape from corporate retail. The album features actual recordings of past bosses, and real life write-ups (though somewhat obscured) are visible in the artwork.

But the real life catalyst for this story is stranger than fiction. The ILL opened a show for Eyedea & Abilities, and struck an unlikely bond with their heroes. After sound check, DJ Abilities listened to the entire ILL IS ALL record, and began mentoring ILLusionists co-founder Web The Free Range Human.

This newfound connection led to a remix version of E&A's last album, By The Throat, produced entirely by Web. Eyedea was so enthused about the project that he began recording new vocals for the remixes just before he passed away in 2010.

But E&A didn't only influence the group creatively. Eyedea also introduced them to friends Sadistik and Kristoff Krane. The ILL later toured with Krane and has opened for Sadistik in several cities. This eventually led to collaborations that appear on the new album.

Blueprint, Ecid, Crescent Moon, and Kristoff Krane were all carefully chosen to help The ILLusionists complete the album narrative. All of the features on Death of a Salesman are from the Midwest, and were friends of Mikey's.

St. Joe Louis returns with 'St. Joe Lotus: Reloaded'. Emotionally darker than the last time we heard the NJ/Texas trio. Ever focused on the feelings minus the filler. It's a 6 song project that tries to grapple with the sacrifices we sometimes make to achieve success. Similar to its predecessor, this EP unites the group once again with some perfectly curated Flying Lotus production.

Mega Ran: Pre-Order The Castlevania Album Now

It's coming soon!

Took a while for me to come up with a title, but finally I did... it's called "The Nocturnal Cantata."

I did a blog post on my site about what the album's all about and who helped.

you can read that here:

The second video from Masta Ace's MA_DOOM: Son of Yvonne features classic video clips from his illustrious career. In the song Ace lists the many reasons he got involved in Hip Hop and the music business. He expresses in the first verse all the reasons why he DID IT; some of his motivations and influences. As the listener starts to get the idea that Ace is summing up his career, the 2nd verse lists the reasons he is STILL doing it. He shouts out some of the local New York teams, the tri-state area, his family and the veterans who "paved the way" for him. MF DOOM's production compliments Ace's flow and delivery well and this certified Hip Hop banger.
