I always like to share new songs when I launch a tour, so check this one out, it's very important to me.
FLIGHT (feat. Span Phly and Judgement)
"Flight" not only explores the mindstate of the sneaker enthusiast, but the attitude that allows the community to justify spending beyond ones means for "wearable self-esteem." Every day, sneakers are bought, sold and traded on the marketplace for 2, 3 and 5 times their retail value, and regular people go beyond their means, and are even hurt or killed for their taste in rare kicks or colorways; while corporations get richer and refuse to comment. Poignant guest verses by AZ emcees Span Phly and Judgement over the smooth production by the legendary Raphael Saadiq help "Flight" to serve as a great discussion piece to everyone in the sneaker community, from hypebeasts to the consumers, to the corporations themselves. Take Flight.
ALSO! Still taking donations for the monthly EP Series I'm planning. I have some great ideas and I'm working hard for ya.

MHz Legacy, in conjunction with their label, Man Bites Dog Records, is excited to announce the winners for their Yellow + Blue Producer Remix Contest.
The grand prize winner, taking home a unique song recorded by MHz Legacy, a MASCHINE Mikro MK2 from Native Instruments, and a watch courtesy of FLUD Watches, is Psymun. The first runner-up for the contest, winning a watch courtesy of FLUD Watches and clothing courtesy of Akomplice Clothing, is Melvin Junko, and the second runner-up, winning a watch courtesy of FLUD Watches and back catalog courtesy of Man Bites Dog Records, is SenturyStatus.
In December, MHz Legacy, announced the Yellow + Blue Producer Remix Contest. Presented in conjunction with 2DopeBoyz, Native Instruments, FLUD Watches, Akomplice Clothing, Audible Treats, and MHz Legacy's label, Man Bites Dog Records, the contest gave aspiring producers the opportunity to remix "Yellow + Blue," the Blu-featuring standout track from MHz' recent album, MHz Legacy. Over the two weeks in which the contest ran, MHz Legacy received over 200 total submissions, with entries coming from all over the world, including multiple continents. "I really appreciated the number of submissions we received for the contest -- there were hundreds we had to listen to!" notes Tage Future, who, with the rest of the group, judged each individual entry. "The winning submissions needed to be dope, and they needed to move me. There was a lot of strong competition in the mix, and we had fun going through the selection process."
One thing that stands out in particular about each of the winning remix submissions is how different they are, not only from each other but also from the original, something that, according to Copywrite, was an important aspect of the overall judgement process. "I didn't want any of the remixes to have the same vibe as the original," notes Copywrite. "To me, a great remix creates a completely different vibe from its original but still fits 100%. 'Yellow + Blue' is my favorite song on the MHz Legacy album, and we appreciate everybody who took the time out to remix our song."

I awoke from a deep hibernation. Asleep for close to seven years. A sink full of dirty dishes and the Beach Boys masterpiece, Pet Sounds, successfully played the role of alarm clock. I was switched on. Ignoring the morning breath and bed sores, I ran with a creative explosion that would reign the next 5 years of my life.
I abandoned what I refer to as my Laundry Room period, but could never forget it, as I would spend half of a decade documenting it.
The words poured out of me. I couldn’t turn the faucet off even if I wanted to. I found my voice and it was the perfect time to say something with it.
Let The Children Die was to be my debut. Urbnet, my record label, wanted to release something right away. Something to wet appetites. Something to remind people I was still alive. We rushed out an EP. The BOOK [Ballad Of Orville Knoblich]. I had already released a re-working of the Iggy Pop classic, The Idiot, telling the story of a relationship between a man and his prostitute love. The Idiot:Hijacked fell on deaf ears. Understandable, since I hadn’t released music in so long. I hoped The BOOK wouldn’t suffer the same fate.
Fortunately, it didn’t. It laid the foundation for what would result in seven critically acclaimed albums over the course of five years, and a platform for my voice and I. It also gave me my first Juno Award Nomination for Best Rap Recording in 2009. This was also the year I developed my addiction to releasing new music.
In November of 2008, I decided to release a mixtape of features, selections from The Idiot:Hijacked and The BOOK, as well as songs that were recorded for the EP, but didn’t make the cut. On January 1st , with help from the incredible DJ Grouch, we released Knoblich|The Complete ’08 Comeback Special [a play on the legendary 1968 Elvis Presley television special].
In May of this year, The BOOK will celebrate its fifth birthday. I feel it’s the perfect time to re-release this time capsule of a moment that defined the artist I am today. And the perfect time to admit I have a thing for Elvis-themed mixtapes.
Also, feel free to pay what you can for this, if you can. I’ve given away a lot of free music. With this one, the option to pay is there if you feel the need to. ☺
