Press Release: Michael Bernier's New Album

Press Release: Michael Bernier's New Album

Courtesy Evolvement Music.

When we asked Michael what the album title was all about he responding saying, “I have always stayed true to a specific sound with my solo albums... previous releases have easily fallen into the singer-songwriter or acoustic category. This album is the product of what I create without keeping any genre in mind.  I make all kinds of music... I am all over the place... one thought to the next and one style of music to the next..."

"I spend hours and hours in the studio creating music and experimenting with new sounds. This year alone within my own album and for appearances on other projects, I have recorded reggae tunes, indie rock tracks, folk songs, choruses on hip-hop tracks, roots rock songs, hand percussion pieces, and so on. I listen to all kinds of music... well, except for country... on any given day I may wake up and listen to Bright Eyes then Jay-Z then Mason Jennings then Midnite then Shamanic Journey then the Felice Brothers then Rage then Josh Ritter then Broken Bells and then close out the day with Paranoid Social Club... with that said, I have no desire to commit to one genre with the new album... I am a musical mess and I want to reflect that in my works.  I hope my dedicated fans can understand that this change is necessary to keep my life exciting... hence the name of the album. This album has been a happily-twisted journey to record and create... Much love and appreciation to Evolvement Music Studio for dealing with me and my cast of interesting and very talented musician friends."

If you did not catch Michael last week on The Lounge on 91.5fm in Medford, MA you can be sure to find the interview and performance online next week!
