After receiving great reviews for his recent mixtape "LOST", Ave. Amen heats things up again with this new Johnny Juliano produced single "Spectral Vision". "Spectral Vision" is another installment of Ave's Nu Bounce movement, and will be featured on Ave's upcoming project "I'm A Long Way From Home" set to drop this December.
The young hip-hop fiends at Elite Daily have posted a video interview with yours truly. Although we covered a lot of the usual stuff, we also spent some quality time talking about my archives and why I've saved the stuff I've saved.
For his latest offering New Deal Crew's TMTHY TRTL takes a different angle than his previous project "You Are Not The Monster", which garnered high praise not only here in the States, but is also gathering a very nice response from our good friends across the pond.
Audio: C-Rayz Walz & One Dae on Ayatollah Produced "Daes & Times"
It's 6:30pm in Brooklyn and it's been pitch black since 5pm already. You'd think this was Alaska. November is definitely the most depressing month. Anyways, I know I'm getting a late start on the day, but we're week two into One Dae's album campaign for Daes & Times. Last week, we hit you with the Marco Polo produced heater "Bang This," and today, we're pleased to unveil the Ayatollah produced title track, featuring C-Rayz Walz.
After consistently hitting us with releases, including "Underdog" featuring Emilio Rojas and "Frontin' Pt. 2" featuring Sikai, Connecticut-bred MC Da Kidd P.G. presents us with new visuals to accompany his single, "My Reparation Pt. 2." Make no mistake, the Fresh P-directed visuals are just as gritty as the V. Don-produced track is, but they also provide a simple, objective point of view that helps you connect with P.G.'s direction.
Fanatic followers of Los Angeles rapper/producer Hopsin and his independent Funk Volume label are eagerly awaiting November 26th for the release of his sophomore album, Knock Madness. Today, Hopsin is revealing details of his forthcoming album, which includes guest features from Funk Volume labelmates Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, and SwizZz, as well as appearances by Tech N9ne, Passionate MC, and G-Mo Skee.
The album's 18 tracks include the single "Hop Is Back," the video for which garnered over one million YouTube views in the first three days of its release, and "Old Friend" which was featured in his "Ill Mind of Hopsin 6" video, now viewed over five million times.
After being placed in special education classes, Hopsin dropped out of school in 2004, bought himself an $8 microphone from Wal-Mart, installed Fruity Loops on his computer, and locked himself in his basement, determined to become a rap star. After a dizzyingly frustrating "Industry Rule #4080" type of experience being signed to Eazy-E's former label Ruthless Records, Hopsin sat down and formed a plan to create his own label, Funk Volume, with the older brother of his friend and fellow rapper SwizZz, Damien "Dame" Ritter. And now, armed with with a fan base the size of a small army, the ability to consistently sell out 1000+ capacity venues and garner international press attention, and the successful formation of a steadily growing label under his belt, it's safe to say that Hopsin indeed has become the rap star he set out to become.
A multi-talented visionary, Hopsin is credited with being a director, actor, and video editor, having been involved in the creation of all his music videos which have collectively amassed 135 million views and earned him over 647,000 YouTube subscribers. In the three years since the release of his debut album, Raw, which sold over 42,000 units, Hopsin has steadily increased his fan base by giving away free music, notably his Ill Mind of Hopsin series and appearing on other artists' projects, including Tech N9ne's "Am I A Psycho" video and Insane Clown Posse's The Mighty Death Pop album. Known and heralded for creating brutally honest music and saying whatever is on his mind, the 2012 XXL Freshman insists, "I don't care to burn a bridge if I didn't want to cross it anyway. I don't hang around bullshit artists who convince me to make bullshit songs." While controversy may have made Hopsin a star, skill and courage made him a fan favorite.

"Going To Work" is the first single from P-Lo's upcoming MBMGC2 (More Bitches More Gold Chains 2) mixtape. Slated for a Dec. 9 release, the mixtape features production from The Invasion (Iamsu!, P-Lo, Jay Ant, Kuya Beats, and Chief) and more. With P-Lo's production work for Yo Gotti's hit "Act Right" and his fellow HBK Gang patnahs being responsible for no fewer than a half-dozen Billboard charting singles, this latest cut from P-Lo matches the potential of their previous hits and further solidifies their chart-topping dominance.
"Moochie", from Boldy James' flawless new release My 1st Chemistry Set, is so hot that Danny Brown took to Twitter just to let everybody know, and not soon after Earl Sweatshirt and Mac Miller were buzzing about Boldy's lyrical finesse and The Alchemist's solid production.
