Video: Copywrite - "More Sorrow" Ft. Illogic

This past February, Copywrite released God Save The King, which wound up being not only some of his most personal work to date but also some of his most critically acclaimed. Now, on August 7th, Copy will team back up with his label Man Bites Dog Records for the worldwide release of God Save The King: Proper English Version. The album will include a handful of new exclusives, in addition to a number of remixes of God Save The King standouts, featuring a collection of the UK's biggest rappers, a list that includes Context, Dru Blu, Mystro, SAS, Akala, Iron Braydz, and more.

Today, Copywrite is excited to release a video for the album's latest single, "More Sorrow" which features Copywrite's childhood friend Illogic. For fans of God Save The King, the song's title will sound familiar - "Sorrow" was one of the album's standout tracks, as Copywrite used the song to deal with recent loss. "More Sorrow" is in dedication to Copywrite's grandmother, and the song was written and recorded the same night that she passed away, minutes before Copywrite was able to get to the hospital. "Walked in the hospital room, you were already gone," raps Copywrite, reliving the events of the evening. "I kissed you on your forehead and held your sweaty palm."

Doe Cigapom (“Deliver On Emotions” & “Can I Get Peace Of Mind”) acronym illustrates his mission to shed light on the very real healing powers of music. Throughout his own difficult life experiences, music has been the remedy for Doe’s peace of mind.

Doe was born and raised in Washington D.C. at a time when our nation’s capital was undergoing historic struggles. This undeniably had a direct impact on his upbringing, but as Doe emphasizes “there was always music” as his main source of solace.

Known for his smooth flow and unique Southern flare, Dallas rapper Tum Tum is hitting his stride after delivering nearly a decade's worth of respected lyricism.

Now signed to label and management company HULK Entertainment, the Texas titan is ready to embark upon a new phase of his career.

Tum Tum's current single "Yeah Doe" featuring fellow HULK artists B-Hamp and Dorrough Music is making waves on radio and iTunes, and his upcoming video for the song will also feature a verse from former Dirty South Rydaz partner Big Tuck.

On August 8, 2012, Tum Tum will take on a portion of the nationwide Smoker's Club Tour, joining stops throughout Texas and Oklahoma. Headlined by Three 6 Mafia's Juicy J, the tour will feature several acts including Smoke DZA, Joey Bada$$ and Chevy Woods.

This Fall, Tum Tum will release Eat or Get Ate 2, the follow up to his 2007 major label debut Eat or Get Ate (T-Town/Universal Republic). Although it's been five years between albums, Tum Tum is confident that fans will connect immediately to his new songs.

"I'm putting my all in this album," Tum Tum asserts. "So far we have production from Play N Skillz, Cardo, RMB Justize, Yung Shun and Bux, who produced my new single 'Yeah Doe'. I have collabs with Curren$y, Dorrough Music, Freddie Gibbs and a couple more of the homies. It's definitely going to be big!"

Although he is independent now, Tum Tum knows he's in good hands with HULKent, as they recently partnered in an incredible distribution and marketing deal with eOne Entertainment for music, film and television ventures.

"Going with HULKent was one of the best moves I've made thus far in my career," says Tum Tum. "They want the best for their artists, and you can't say that about a lot of people. With my relationships and theirs, we are turning up for Texas."

As he hits the road on The Smokers Club Tour next month, Tum Tum is assured that he has a lot to be thankful for and much to look forward to.

"I really want my longtime fans and new fans to see the indie grind I'm on. I've had sneakers come out, and a deal with New Era and YUMS. I'm also working with the T.I.T.S. clothing brand on some things. I've got the new single buzzing, and this is all from focused, independent hustle. It's hard times for most people right now - we all have to work harder than before, and I think people will respect where I'm coming from."

Free DL: Magnificent Ruffians - "Extra Credit" (prod. Owbese)

Magnificent Ruffians present the EXTRA CREDIT album! Featuring Awol One, BlakKing, Owbese Emcee, Chainsaw Mike and King Jesk. The theme of this album is education. Each song is inspired by some type of class one might take in school. We took the course title and flipped it into some dope hip hop for all the Mag Ruff fans out there. Pay close attention to the samples on this album. Many of them have something to do with a movie that had school involved in it, in one way or another. As far as the samples go, this is defiantly going to be a classic album! Download it, and take a journey back in time to when people learned something new everyday and the sky was the limit. Peace!
