From Matt B:

Video: Illus f/ Blueprint - "Extraordinary"

2012 promises to be a memorable year for Illus, as he and his wife recently welcomed the birth of their first child and his new project, Family First, (due to be released on 5-29-2012) focuses on the shared love of that experience to create 12-tracks that mend meaningful, powerful, heart-felt lyrics to hardcore Hip-Hop production. Family First is a celebration of family and life both in the literal sense and that of the larger global Hip-Hop community and the connection we all have through our children and the spirit, heart, passion and soul of the culture.

After unveiling the first leak, Magical,” which featured J-Live (he also produced the track) from Family First earlier this week, today Illus releases the trailer for his collaboration with Rhymesayers own Blueprint “Extraordinary” (Blueprint also produced the track as well).

Lil Boosie Found Not Guilty in Murder Trial

From RollingStone.com:

boosie

Rapper Lil Boosie has been found not guilty of murder, WAFB reports. Boosie, whose real name is Torrence Hatch, was cleared of charges of first-degree murder in the 2009 death of Terry Boyd after a jury deliberated over the case for nearly two hours.

The prosecution had argued that the killing was a murder-for-hire ordered by the rapper and executed by his henchman, 17-year-old Michael "Marlo Mike" Louding. Lil Boosie's defense countered that there was no evidence to suggest that the rapper had beef with Boyd and that detectives had trumped up the charges to benefit their police department.

Lil Boosie's trial concluded around 2:44 p.m. today after six days of testimony from 27 witnesses. Though the rapper is off the hook for this charge, he is currently serving an eight-year prison term on drug charges and is being held in the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola.
