Over the past year Mike WiLL Made It has become the most sought-after producer in hip-hop, R&B and, increasingly, pop, having produced 12 Billboard-charting singles, including three number one singles, while working with some of the biggest names in music, including Rihanna, Kanye West, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Future, Juicy J, Brandy, Ace Hood, Gucci Mane, Kelly Rowland, and more. Most recently, Mike WiLL Made It produced the lead single, "We Can't Stop," from Miley Cyrus' forthcoming album, BANGERZ, currently a top-five single in more than 10 countries, with over 135 million views on VEVO.
Now, with his own official debut album, Est. In 1989 Pt. 3 (The Album), announced, and the album's lead single, the Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa, and Juicy J-featuring "23," planned for release on August 26th, Billboard has anointed Mike WiLL Made It "The Hottest Producer In The Game," featuring him on the cover of its June 17th issue. This is Mike WiLL's first cover feature, and the story chronicles the super producer's path from upstart, 16-year-old producer passing beats to Gucci Mane to becoming one of music's most valued hit makers, joining a short list of true "super producers" alongside the likes of Timbaland, Pharrell, Diplo and Dr. Luke.
Maxwell Benson Premieres New Animated Video "Sadat X Is Back"

Canadian hip-hop producer Maxwell Benson premieres latest video "Sadat X iI Back" and releases EP Dawn Of a New Day - combining a golden ear moxie with an undeniable 21st century flair to be presented on the anniversary of Kool Herc's historical August 11, 1973 hip hop party in the Bronx.
Philly emcee/charmer Rich Quick has been a vital (if underrated) part of the local music scene for over a decade. Today, Rich is readying his new EP Sad Songz, out August 20 on Ben Frank Recordings.
Reflecting his rising profile, Rich enlisted the formidable New York production duo Streece (beat makers Stress and Chuck Treece) for production work on Sad Songz. The two have worked with heavy weights from Ghostface Killah to Lil Wayne, and their partnership with Rich is capable of achieving the same heights, crossing over from hip-hop die hards to the Pitchfork crowd.
Guest features on Sad Songz include Reef the Lost Cauze, Rakaa Iriscience, and Jakk Frost. Lead single "Travelin Man" premiered on Respect-mag.com and was posted on HipHopdx, Skope, Rapreviews, among others. Subsequently, Rich released a remix for the track featuring Reef the Lost Cauze and Rakaa Iriscience.
Sad Songz demonstrates an artist with emotional depth and a very Philadelphia style fearlessness in expressing it. Take the track "Say You Love Me." Rich says it’s a "G" song. "When Stress first played the beat, I didn't know what I wanted to do. But when you hear a song with a sample, it gives you a concept right there. How you flip is it is up to you."
While Sad Songz contains cuts like "Lonely" and "Cry", Rich insists he wasn’t sad when while recording the EP. Rather, he says, “This is what came out when I got into the studio with Streece.”
Rich is most well known for his pure, boom-bap style of hip-hop. Sonically, Sad Songz is a departure from that, reflecting his expanding tastes, expanding horizons, and effortless versatility. "I picked beats that reflected where I was in my life at that moment," says Rich. "I could have picked a Stress's boom bap beats but I gravitated towards these. I guess you could call this "alternative" but I really try to stay away from categorizing."
Born in New Jersey, Rich has been part of the Philly hip-hop scene for over a decade. In 2002 he released his first solo project, Get Rich Quick, followed up by The Movement LP in 2004. During that time, Rich performed with every Philly legend you can think of, from The Roots to Freeway, becoming a kid brother of sorts. "I learned a well-rounded view of the art of emceeing, experimenting with song structure, unique rhyme patterns and flows from all the artists who came before me here."
In April 2012 Rich Quick released the mixtape “I'm With The DJ,” hosted by DJ NoPhrillz and Benja Styles, garnering critical acclaim. Sad Songz will be released August 20, 2013.
"Over The Edge" is a song that comes from a place of personal experience that hopefully can resonate with listeners who may be dealing with the same issues when feeling overwhelmed by life's circumstances. MC Jin adds "a big part of my testimony is that through all the setbacks and discouraging turn of events that may have occurred in my life so far, there's always been someone in the form of an anchor to keep me from drifting into total despair. Be it through family or close friends, God has always shown His presence."

Hailing from NYC—by way of Denver, Colorado—emcee and producer Deca is a refreshing voice on today’s musical landscape. Today, Deca is ready to test his mettle on a national stage with his fourth album, The Ocean, to be released September 24, 2013.
On his latest disc, Deca tackles some heavy subject matter. He plunges into the beautiful and terrifying aspects of life, human nature, and dreams, with a mixture of tongue-in-cheek wit and stoic conviction. On the track “Edenville,” a song of redemption, Deca charges the fall from grace is a psychological shift more than a physical one. The chorus speaks to a nostalgia for a paradise lost.
“The ocean is one of the most familiar symbols of the unconscious mind,” explains Deca of the albums title. But it’s for the listener to decipher the metaphors in his lyrics. The track “Breadcrumbs” is the first video release off the LP. In the video, Deca and his sidekick Tibo answer a distress call from a space station under siege by the forces of evil. After the duo save the space station, the video pan's out to deep space where two light beings are playing a game of cosmic chess, conveying the message that there are higher forces at work beyond the world that we know.
Threading the LP together are unscripted interludes which are taken from Deca’s own recorded interviews with friends, family, and people on the street about some of the most significant dreams they've had. "I would listen back to the dreams I recorded, and notice similarities in the themes, and also how conceptually, their dreams directly related to the songs I was writing", adds Deca.
Deca may be new to the national stage, but he’s been garnering accolades for a number of years. Born in Denver, Colorado, early on Deca was part of two collaborative projects, Elemental, a live band with four emcees, and Prana, a duo formed with fellow Elemental emcee Ichiban. While performing regularly with Prana he became part of the Hip Hop collective known as L.I.F.E. Crew, who were seminal in helping to shape the local scene throughout the 2000’s and were voted best hip-hop crew by the Denver Westword.
In 2003, Deca released his first solo effort, Top of the Line Bottom Feeder. The project was followed a few years later with The Hedonist, which documented Deca’s descent into substance abuse.
The excessive lifestyle outlined in The Hedonist led to a brief move to LA (and then to Queens, NY) where Deca began work on his first fully self-produced album titled The Veil, which not only was featured on URB, Kevin Knottingham, and DJ Booth, but was recognized as one of the best albums of 2011 by The Westword who said, “Propelled by some stellar production and Deca's wicked wordplay and compelling cadence — what he has to say is every bit as captivating as how he says it — The Veil was one of the most rewarding hip-hop listens of the year. Although the MC's travels have taken him to L.A. and NYC, he still has strong Denver ties.”
