November 19, 2012 (New York, NY) – MTV2, MTV’s sibling network, today announced the exclusive premiere of “Tech N9ne’s Hostile Takeover: The Story Behind the Tour,” chronicling Tech N9ne’s historic 2012 Hostile Takeover tour, on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. ET/PT following all new episodes of “The Week in Jams” and “The Dub Magazine Project.”
"93 shows in 104 days is almost impossible for anyone to do,” said Tech N9ne. “I say almost because we did it, successfully, with a few bumps and confrontations along the way, but that’s nothing when it comes to making hip hop history. Here’s a peek at it."
The 30-minute documentary, narrated by MTV News’ Sway Calloway, will take viewers behind the scenes with independent pioneer, Strange Music founder and hip hop legend, Tech N9ne as he prepared, embarked and, ultimately, reflects on the longest consecutive rap tour in music history, performing in over 90 cities in just over 100 days. Joined on the road by fellow rappers MGK, Krizz Kaliko, ¡Mayday! and featuring an appearance by T-Pain, “The Story Behind the Tour” sheds an intimate light on everything from Tech’s rules of the road to the personal struggles and personality clashes that occur while on tour, his budding relationship with MGK and the aftermath of losing a friend on the road. Fans will also be treated to amazing performance footage from the tour.
“Tech N9ne’s Hostile Takeover: The Story Behind the Tour” is executive produced by Eric Conte for MTV2, Travis O’Guin, Aaron Yates and Noah Jolles. Dan Gedman, Curtis Schmidt and Anthony Devera serve as producers.
MTV2 targets young men with smart, funny and relevant content, including music, comedic and action-oriented original programming such as Guy Code, Nitro Circus Live, The DUB Magazine Project, Hip Hop Squares and The Week in Jams.
St. Louis Natives Bud E & Bradd Young Creating Waves At Radio

St. Louis native and recording artist Bud E is receiving early radio success with his debut song "Goes On." The record which features label mate and St. Louis native Bradd Young, is currently in rotation at 21 stations and achieving increased airplay each week. Bud E is a charismatic rapper, writer, performer, and MC who began developing his craft through local performances in St. Louis including the Missouri Black Expo and hosting the local TV show "Hot Summer Nights." In 2010, Bud E was also recognized by the Board of Aldermen for his outstanding contributions to the betterment of the City of St. Louis.
Bradd Young praised by the Riverfront Times with "limitless talent and ambition," sings the melodic hook on "Goes On." The R&B singer and songwriter is also an accomplished producer who has worked with Akon, Kelly Rowland, Teddy Riley, Talib Kweli, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and St. Louis' own Nelly and Jibbs.
Bud E and Bradd Young are both signed to Sphinx Music Entertainment, an independent record label distributed by Sony RED, which has had recent success with Cali Swag District ("Teach Me How To Dougie"). Hailing from a city that produced hip hop stars Nelly, Chingy, J-Kwon and Jibbs, the proud St. Louis natives Bud E and Bradd Young are ready and in a position to carry on the torch.
Swollen Members' Prevail Partners With Red Truck Beer To Create Prev Ale

Prevail from Canadian hip-hop legends Swollen Members has partnered with Vancouver based Red Truck Beer to create a new seasonal beer called 'Prev Ale'. The beer will be sold in select bars across the greater Vancouver area and a portion of the sales will be donated to various local charitable organizations in the community.
"I am extremely pleased to announce the launch of a cross collaborative beer project with The Red Truck Beer Company called, 'Prev Ale'! Together we have decided to work on a seasonal beer in which a portion of the proceeds will go to a charitable cause in our community," commented Prevail. "Compelled by her story, we are helping to raise funds to help cancer patient Chelsea Steyns to help offset some of her expenses. Only three months after giving birth to her second set of twins, Chelsea was diagnosed with brain cancer but has refused to give up the fight. In league with a host of other fund raising efforts, Red Truck and myself humbly offer the 'Prev Ale' as a way to give back and bring our community together in hopes of helping Chelsea and her family this holiday season. In order to reach our fundraising goal, the great guys from Red Truck and myself will be pouring the product at a select number of venues in Vancouver.
