It only seems like five minutes ago that we were telling you about Sir Tomz's massive music video for 'The Struggle'. Well guess what? This Birmingham emcee, producer and CEO is back with his brand new music video which once again features the lush sung vocals of Nih illi and is directed, edited and produced by Peter Jordan from Auteurluirid.

With the recent events of the riots and looting in the UK it's been a time for reflection and deep thought for the whole population. It's a strange time here is the UK and there is no doubting that even those who thought there wasn't a government 'Lockdown' are now convinced there will be. This track is deeply lyrical and has a strong message as well as being delivered brilliantly over Ice Cube & Malay's massive 'You Know Me' beat.

Sir Tomz and his empire Jailhouse Ltd really are making moves and future releases already finished and now being scheduled for release the future looks bright. Please take note of this Midlands based outfit and show love and support wherever possible.

Seasoned Veteran Richie Rich Returns w/ Town Bidness: Vol. 2

Seasoned Veteran Richie Rich Returns w/ Town Bidness: Vol. 2

August 18th, 2011 -- With the ink literally still drying from his freshly signed recording contract with Mack 10's boutique imprint, Hoo-Bangin' Records, Smokeland's own prodigal son, Richard "Richie Rich" Serrell, is back with Town Bidness: Vol. 2, the second installment to his mega-popular 2010 entry of the same name.

The highly anticipated fourteen track offering, with stellar production courtesy of Mannie Fresh, Lil Jon, DJ Toomp, Super Dave, Lev Berlak and fellow 415 group-mate, DJ Daryl, contains explosive appearances from Devin the Dude ["Blow Mine"], J Stalin & Shady Nate ["Robo (R2D2)"] and Rah Mean ["Dope At It"] from Yukmouth's Regime outfit.

Richie Rich first rose to prominence as a lead member of the popular Oakland, California, quintet, 415, back in the late eighties. The underground collective's heralded debut, 41Fivin, which spawned a succession of popular singles; "415," "Groupie Ass Bitch," & "Side Show," is still considered, to this day, a Bay Area classic. It also sparked plenty enough interest and fanfare to enable Rich with the opportunity of recording his first solo LP. That project, Don't Do It, with its excellent title track, followed in '90, and was an instantaneous success.

Unfortunately, with triumph often times comes tragedy, and while 415 were in the midst of signing with, then, indie giant, Priority Records, Richie Rich was arrested for drug possession. For him, everything came to a complete standstill.

Upon his release from incarceration, Rich quickly began building up his name again by appearing on records from the likes of Tupac Shakur, who was one of his best friends till the very end, and the Luniz. Soon, he found himself in the midst of a vicious bidding war, with Def Jam Records eventually coming out the victor. Richie Rich's, then, highly anticipated Seasoned Veteran bowed in November '96, and was met with gracious reviews. The set's second offering, "Do G's Get To Go To Heaven?," was dedicated to the memory of his fallen comrade, 2Pac.

A follow-up release was recorded for the label, but due to problems with the company's infrastructure at the time, it was ultimately shelved. So, Rich, along with his longtime business partner, producer Lev Berlak, formed their own imprint, TenSix Records. The Game, which featured several tracks left over from the Def Jam era, dropped in 2000, and Nixon Pryor Roundtree, followed nearly two years later.

While Dubble R is currently hard at work on his still untitled, Hoo-Bangin' debut, and/or altogether sixth solo LP, tentatively slated for early 2012, please take the time out to thoroughly enjoy the more-than impressive Town Bidness: Vol. 2, yet another notch in already illustrious career in rhyme...

Town Bidness: Vol. 2 available now, via TenSix Records/EMPIRE Distribution, on iTunes, Amazon and all other major retailers.

Feast Or Famine EP Scheduled For August 24th Release Date

The Song:

In 2010, DaVinci, a largely unknown rapper from the historic Fillmore District of San Francisco, California, took the rap world by storm, releasing his debut album, The Day The Turf Stood Still. The album was a breakthrough, showing the mind state of a young black male – one who grew up hustling to survive – who watches uncertain as his beloved neighborhood changes in front of his eyes due to gentrification and urban renewal that forced many of his peers out. And now, DaVinci is excited to release the follow-up, his new Feast Or Famine EP, which will be made available for free download on August 24th through DaVinci's label, SWTBRDS.

On TDTTSS DaVinci largely went it alone, eschewing high profile guests and choosing instead to let his voice be heard. And while Feast Or Famine finds DaVinci working alongside a variety of his peers throughout the eight tracks, lead single "D.R.E.A.M.," an acronym that plays off Wu-Tang's "C.R.E.A.M." and stands for Dope Rules Everything Around Me, finds DaVinci going for dolo as he brings listeners into a world of harsh realities and conflicted decisions.

"I wanted to bring people into the mind of a young man whose entire world – his friends, family, school, community – is flooded with drug abuse and dope distribution," explains DaVinci. "The song isn't a celebration; I wanted to give people a clear visual of the events that lead up to making a 'hustle or die' decision," and DaVinci provides a clear visual, indeed, with lines like, "Dream first ask questions last/ Trying to do my best to stay awake in class/ Teacher can't show me how to make no cash/ But my ni**as on the block sure make it fast."

To accompany the single, and help break down what Feast Or Famine is all about, DaVinci is also releasing the "Feast Or Famine" video. A collaboration between Chasen Paper and Johan Thomas, the video offers a chilling, black-and-white visual that plays out like a mini-documentary as DaVinci narrates many of the same dichotomies detailed in "D.R.E.A.M.," and throughout Feast Or Famine: "A single right or wrong decision can be the difference between eating and starving."
