Twenty-year-old Mississippi hip-hop artist Pell releases his highly stylized French fashion inspired video for "The Wild" today. The Starkville, MS resident, by way of New Orleans, says the track, which was featured on his 2012 mixtape, Calphonic, is about self-discovery. "I'm constantly battling with myself: with respect to vices, internal conflicts, and the struggles of pursuing music as a career," explains Pell.

The D.A. (Dangerous Affiliation), is a shining example of real hip hop done tastefully. Lyrical Biz and Ediquette of Dorchester and Salem, Massachusetts respectively, are both solo artists who found power in numbers when introduced to one another in August of 2011.

subCONSCIOUS, a new group to emerge from Atlanta's underground hip-hop scene, consists of Kaedus, P.U.R.E., and Sha'Lil. subCONSCIOUS previously released their debut project titled Kaedus, P.U.R.E., & Sha'Lil Are...subCONSCIOUS [EP] (Bandcamp); they present "Exile" as a sonic and visual introduction into their universe.

Cynikal has continued to grow from strength to strength in 2013, with BBC Radio inviting the fast-rising artist to perform a special Live Lounge Session earlier in March, and PRS for Music also selecting him to take part in the current season of their acoustic sessions. As the first piece of new music we’ve heard from Cynikal in 2013, “Take Off” shows the first signs of a brilliantly progressed sound for the Hip-Hop artist/producer - a sound that we cannot wait to experience on his forthcoming E.P titled Toby.
