From Matt B:

Video: Oh No f/ MF Doom - "3 Dollars"

Following two successful collaborative efforts alongside fellow producer/rapper The Alchemist as the power duo Gangrene -2010’s Gutter Water and 2012’s Vodka & Ayahuasca- and the 2011 gem with The Alchemist as Gangrene & Roc Marciano, the Greneberg EP; The Oxnard, California based beat-smith and emcee Oh No returns for a solo mission.

Oh No (born Michael Jackson; younger brother of Madlib and son of singer Otis Jackson) was granted unprecedented access to the Rudy Ray Moore / Dolemite audio archives and given free rein to slice, dice, chop and sample his way through the classic-yet-absolutely-filthy catalog. He was able to use legendary material from The Human Tornado, Petey Wheatstraw, the Dolemite Soundtrack and more, plus a multitude of previously unreleased and alternate acapellas and instrumentals. The end result is Ohnomite (available on 6-5-2012), a 19 track head-banging extravaganza of sloppy funk, dirty soul, and brainy lyricism, all aimed at one thing- making your head nod and your ass shake. And when you add to that guests spots from the likes of Evidence, Phife Dawg, The Alchemist, Erick Sermon, Rapper Pooh, MED, Guilty Simpson, Roc Marciano, Sticky Fingaz, Chino XL, Roc C, Prozack Turner, Termanology, Frank Nitt and this cut with MF Doom “3 Dollars.”

@ArsunFIST: "Analog Sessions" Mini Mixtape and Lecture

From Arsun F!st:

Arsun F!st: "Analog Sessions" Mini Mixtape and Lecture

In the era of digital music we have gotten used to pristine sound. Analog Sessions is a tribute "mini" mixtape with a lecture on Analog sound woven in...I blatantly released each song on my soundcloud page without the lecture component to see the initial unbiased response...Many thanks to all who listened. This will be the LAST free download project I release in 2012...Analog Sessions is a throw back to those days of the exclusive but gritty sounding mixtape, when the beats were raw and the emcee was hungry on the mic...Attack the Block

From Black Budget Entertainment:

Video: Just P - "Brighter Days"

After releasing his first official album, Just Call Me P, on May 30th 2012, underground UK Hip Hop emcee, Just P (formerly BiG PSG), recently asked us at Black Budget Ent to record the official music video to his feel good track, Brighter Days, which is taken from his latest release and produced by talented German beat maker, Politiks. The song and video both compliment each other well, with bright and stimulating visual's accompanied by a laid back, original and inspiring track. The release is going to be the first of many from the independant, London based emcee, and with its calm vibe's delivered via thoughtful vocals alongside a calming video, it is definitely one for the 2012 summer.

MP3: Kool Keith - "Jedi Supreme" Ft. Big Sche Eastwood

From Audible Treats:

MP3: Kool Keith - "Jedi Supreme" Ft. Big Sche Eastwood

On Tuesday, Kool Keith will release Love & Danger, the 13th album of his illustriously eccentric career. Already, Kool Keith has released a handful of singles from the album, and now, with a string of European show dates wrapping up, and new video planned to drop on release date, Keith is releasing a new non-album single, "Jedi Supreme."

The track, which is a collaboration with Big Sche Eastwood (also known as Mr. Sche) and features scratches by Junkaz Lou, both of whom show up on Love & Danger, is also produced by Mr. Sche, who provides Keith with a spacey, orchestral track. For his part, Keith doesn't disappoint, delivering a rangy, imagery-filled verse, rapping, "No one in space wants to argue with the Nubian Casablanca...They say I'm on that Formica/ I know what you like/ Women with space suits on/ I'm commanding them what to do with a captain's uniform on."
