"Every once in awhile, you come across an artist who deserves to make it based on character alone. Someone who’s so innately genuine, it gushes from every varying angle of their lives, both in and out of their music. That person is Dee-1. The former teacher has made a habit of effortlessly working in life lessons and sincere moral words to live by in his records. With each play, there’s something new to be learned from Mr. Augustine. If there was rap music to show to outsiders and detractors of the culture, this is it."

The Blended Babies are a producer duo made up by Rich Gains and JP Keller. The two met in Chicago where they honed their craft before moving out to Los Angeles in 2012. The two are known for blending soulful bass and keyboard harmonies; creating songs instead of repetitive loops that often crowd the hip-hop genre.

The west coast fOnkateer, Dudley Perkins, is ready to release his first solo album in 4 years next week - Dr. Stokley. The legendary, eccentric cali-emcee is known for having the best beats in the game (e.g. Madlib & Kankick) and his second single is no different. Georgia Anne Muldrow opens the production with some gorgeous thick bass that bounces instead of that weak hit so many producers try to pass off. Patterson Project vet Percee P grabs the mic first and decimates listeners with his South Bronx flow.
http://www.vladtv.com - A$AP Ferg recently sat down with Nessa, where he spoke about his current headlining tour and what kind of crazy things he's gotten into while traveling around. He also opens up about what kind of women he's into, explaining that he doesn't like celebrity women, except for Nicki Minaj.
Gee knows that there’s more to his people than meets the history books, and there’s more to this video than meets the eye on the first go. Different lines appear and reappear as part of the track or as acapella, adding a sense of life-collage, making the video both very sporatic but also satisfying and complete.
