Last Tuesday, November 13th, hip hop duo A.Dd+, Erykah Badu-helmed production crew, The Cannabinoids and award-winning DJ, DJ Sober dominated the annual Dallas Observer Music Awards, taking home a total of four awards, including Best Rap/Hip Hop Act (A.Dd+), Best Group Act (A.Dd+), Best Funk/R&B Act (The Cannabinoids), and Best DJ (DJ Sober). Dallas' biggest alternative weekly newspaper also made A.Dd+ rappers Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy the cover story subjects of their current issue. To celebrate their recent wins and to thank their fans, A.Dd+ is releasing a new song called "Suitcases," produced by Cannabinoids member Picnictyme from their upcoming mixtape, DiveHiFlyLo.
The annual Dallas Oberserver Music Awards, now in its 24th year, was a humbling event for A.Dd+ and close affiliates, The Cannabinoids, and DJ Sober. Says DJ Sober, "It is a great feeling to know that we have supporters out there that took the time out to vote everyday and that have been rooting for us all along." Paris Pershun adds, "We were up against crazy competition from different genres. It was just a blessing to see what we do and our creations don't go unnoticed." The Cannabinoids were the house band for the awards show, backing other performers, and providing music for the entire night. "It was an honor for us to be the house band and being recognized in my own city was an amazing feeling," says Picnictyme.

Oakland, California native Clyde Carson partnered with DatPiff for the release of his newest mixtape S.T.S.A. [Something To Speak About] today, November 20th. S.T.S.A. features 10 original songs including the previously released single 'Slow Down,' a #1 record in the Bay and Top 5 record in Los Angeles. The project features West Coast artists E-40, Problem, IAMSU, Kaz Kyzah and B-Legit. All songs are produced by 'Slow Down' producer Shonuff.
"Girls All Around" is a track inspired by the classic dancehall sound that invaded New York City in the early to mid 90's. The rudeboy hook, as well as the title, fully explains what the song is about but it's still all Hip-Hop though, with a hard knocking beat and rhymes that is sure tomake this one a dj and fan favorite.
