Illmaculate vs. Black Milk Demo Beats 2012 Part One
Courtesy Sandpeople Music.
In a strange twist of fate, that’s basically like one of our week recaps of selections come to life - Illmaculate (whose latest video we selected on Wednesday) has taken it upon himself to record a new song over the first half of yesterday’s selection – Black Milk‘s Demo Beats 2012.
Now normally, we’re against rappers taking liberties over uncleared beats, especially those released for free as a good gesture for the fans but in this case – fuck it. We like it. (Sorry, Rosalinda!)
"Dope" is the latest single from energetic South Florida emcee Dre Marshall. The bio on Dre's website states that his message is a formulation of high octane rhythms and "fire"lyrics that welds the heart and soul of every note to the bass line of every pulse.

The acclaimed L.A. threesome Pac Div is fresh off the release of their sophomore album GMB, which has already received praise from Rolling Stone, HipHopDX, and XXL. And now, Mibbs, Like, and BeYoung are gearing up for a string of West Coast performances in December, with none other than the legendary Snoop Dogg.
In addition to a handful of headlining shows in California, Pac Div will be opening for Snoop between December 9th and December 22nd. The guys are excited to share a stage with the gangsta rap icon, but it will not be the first time Pac Div has crossed paths with Snoop Dogg. "We first met him about five years ago, and were really happy to find out that he's been a fan since we started," said Mibbs, who, along with Like and BeYoung, were recently guests on Snoop Dogg's online news show, GGN. "Joining forces with a legend is a precursor that one day we'll be known as legends. Touring with Snoop will only add to our list of many accomplishments."
The impending tour with Snoop mirrors the Cali-centric theme of GMB, which chronicles Pac Div's journey as they usher in the revitalization of LA's hip-hop scene. GMB has the trio collaborating with a number of artists including Kendrick Lamar and Blu on the single "Cross Trainers" and Ty$ on "The Return," as well as a slew of notable producers including Chuck Inglish of The Cool Kids, Scoop Deville, DJ Dahi, and the Div's own Like.

Hip-Hop group Zion I continue to forge new ground musically on their latest LP Shadowboxing, a beat-heavy hip-hop album decidedly grittier than past projects. Always pushing the literal—and figurative—needle forward, the duo, consisting of emcee Zumbi and producer Amp Live, have once again created something experimental and heartfelt. Shadowboxing features guests such as Bassnectar, Grouch and Eligh, Collie Buddz and Goapele.
Mike Beatz is a Jamaican hip-hop artist, producer and writer and his production resume includes T-Pain’s "Reborn", Capone N Noreaga’s "Bring It Here", Trina’s "Rich Girl" and many more. In 2009, he stared a side project (Wizard Sleeve) with a close friend and frequent collaborator Lex One and one of their first releases “Me Plus You” released on Southern Fried Records (owned by fatboy slim) went on to be re-released on Ministry Of Sound as the smash hit "Riverside (Let's Go)" in 2010.
"Riverside" went on to sell over 96,000 copies in its first week topping the iTunes sales charts and landing #1 on the charts. Due to this success, they were able to tour for two-years, building a strong international fan base and during that period of time we were blessed enough to work with top tier artists such as: Deadmau5, Diplo & Switch (Major Lazer), Dev, Tinie Tempah, Sway, S.A.S, Professor Green & others.
In 2011 while on tour overseas with Wizard Sleeve, Mike Beatz released an independent solo-LP entitled Boom Bap with Norwegian producer Adonis. The solo-project was an ode to the classic sound and featured guest appearances from Guilty Simpson, Royce Da 5'9, AZ, Termanology, Skyzoo, Sha Stimuli & Wrekonize (¡MAYDAY!) and received 36,000 downloads in its first month and got placements on top sites such as XXL, Hip Hop Dx, Nah Right and even getting spins from DJ Premier on his radio show.
Mike Beatz is back and is releasing a new music video for his self produced track "Heaven." Shot in the everglades of Florida, Beatz teams up with director Noel Rosado on this eerie cinematic visual.
