Jersey-bred J. Fontaine is a former HipHop break-dancer whose early career provided him and his crew commercial success and appearances by his team in music videos. J. Fontaine experienced the opportunity to showcase his dancing talents throughout Philadelphia night clubs as a paid performer. His enthusiasm for creativity and the hip hop culture played a major roll in the growth and his education as a musician.

While crafting one hand's talent on the turntables, J. Fontaine was shaking hands with the other; introducing himself to the music industry's elite. J. Fontaine built a network of names that led to his connection with several American Idol contestants who lent their vocals to some of J. Fontaine's tracks. J. Fontaine, a Pennsylvania-born Italian, knows music goes deeper than superficial standards and has been welcomed into the HipHop community by eager ears.

As a performer and a producer J. Fontaine's passion runs deep. His stand-out work ethic is solid and his talent is palpable. Along with the success of his break dancing career, J. Fontaine appeared as an extra on MTV's HipHop series Direct Effect with DJ Clue, Comedy Central's Strangers with Candy and experienced international airplay for his single "Pull It Over" and spins on major radio stations for “Hoffa at Me.”

J. Fontaine's latest project, a debut album entitled J. Fontaine Presents, features his own music production as well as production by Knoxx and collaborations with some of Jersey's biggest and best known names in hip hop like Joe Budden and Serius Jones.

"Open" Only $8.99 on Amazon.com!

L.A. rapper/producer Blu is one of hip-hop's most mysterious figures, puzzling fans with unexpected projects, esoteric liner notes, and a refusal to polish his left-field music for the masses.  As Blu releases his first production album Open, we sought out frequent collaborator Sene to provide some insight on the artist sometimes known as GODlee Barnes.

Brooklyn MC Sene appears on the Open track "Avenge Of The Cheap Ass" (one of two Open songs with vocals from Blu himself), and in 2009 released the album A Day Late & A Dollar Short, entired produced by Blu.  Here, he explains the allure of Blu's beats, the reasons for Blu' reclusive nature, and the story behind "Avenge Of The Cheap Ass."

Open is now available at iTunes, Amazon, Nature Sounds, and stores everywhere.  Entirely produced by Blu, it contains never-before-heard vocal tracks from a collection of up-and-coming rappers that Blu hand-picked for the project, including Sene, Fresh Daily, Scienze, Versis, Aaron Smartz, Tribe of Levi, and more - as well as two show-stopping appearances from Blu himself.

"Native is the New like Balance to the shoe"(De La Soul). "I sport New Balance sneakers to avoid a narrow path"(A Tribe Called Quest). "Challenge the God for the New Bal's"(Raekwon). Hip Hop's love affair for New Balance isn't anything new. Aside from the occassional shout out,New Balance sneakers have made cameo appearances in some of our favorite album covers as well as videos(Jungle Brothers "Doin our own thang",LL Cool J "Around the way girl",Kool G Rap "Road to the Riches").

Well guess what the love doesn't stop there. Not to long ago I sat down with one of my favorite mc's of all time,Raekwon. He and I talked about a number of things, most importantly his love for New Balances. The Chef isn't a sneaker head so to speak,he is a New Balance head. The conversation went from him discussing his train routes, to him name checking his favorite streets he used to shop at.

Rae's open and candid depiction of how he used to shop for New Balance takes all back to the "Golden Era"! So do yourself a favor and hop on the Staten Island ferry and ride with Raekwon as he takes us back in the day!

Courtesy Audible Treats.

Still riding high off the success of his recent, Bitch, I'm A Player, Roach Gigz is excited to release not only the latest video from the EP, for the song "Gina", but also announce a limited-edition 4-disc release for the EP. The package includes not only Bitch, I'm A Player but also Roach's fan-favorite Roachy Balboa: Round 1, Roachy Balboa: Round 2, and his debut solo mixtape Buckets & Booty Calls. Along with the limited edition package, Roach is also including a T-Shirt (both men's and women's sizes available), and Roach will be personally signing each CD for fans.

The limited edition items can be purchased directly from Roach's website, with a handful of bundles available to fans, depending on what they're looking for. For $25 fans can get the 4-disc set, personally signed by Roach. T-Shirts, by themselves, are available for $20 a piece, and for Roach's most loyal fans, there's an option to buy both the signed 4-disc set and a T-Shirt for $35. "I've always released my music free," says Roach, "so fans could hear my music without breaking their pockets. But I finally wanted to give fans the option to buy the CD; throw it in their car, hold the packaging in their hands. It's all about finding ways to make my music a more enjoyable experience for my fans - they're the ones that have helped me get here."

To celebrate the limited edition physical release, Roach Gigz is also releasing the video for "Gina," the latest single from Bitch, I'm A Player, and the latest in what expects to be a long line of visuals still to come from the Bay Area rapper's debut EP. While the Kreayshawn-directed clip for "F A Chorus" caught Roach live in action, rapping all over New York City's Times Square, the video for "Gina" follows the song's suggestively endearing plot line, as Roach weaves his salacious tales. "The lyrics to the song are really what inspired the video," explains Roach, who pulled in long time friend and collaborator Young Remedy to direct. "I wanted to bring the story to life and keep it creative."
