Milwaukee emcee/producer/musician Klassik presents the Xavier Ruffin-directed music video for "Forever Whatever", the second single from his album In The Making. Two years after his father inspired him to pick up the saxophone, a young Klassik was being mentored by sax legend Berkley Fudge. By high school he was touring Europe as a professional jazz musician and experimenting with beat production programs like Fruity Loops.

First off, a big congratulations is in order to the homie DJ Hyphen and J. Moore because their radio show - Sunday Night Sound Session – has just reached the 8 year mark! If you aren’t familiar yet, y’all need to catch up because it is one of the best in the country and one of the few where the music is chosen purely on quality and nothing else. 8 year anniversary of anything is a big deal but 8 years of underground music on a mainstream radio station is almost unheard of! Almost…

In addition, Hyph and J. Moore linked with Cornerstone Mixtapes to producer the May 2013 edition, #160 in their series. These guys are busy at work and I am pleased to announce that they are the next up in the ‘Da’ What is Hip Hop? series!! They discussed what hip hop means to them and the Pacific Northwest for a bit on Sunday Night Sound Session a few weeks back and I thought that this was the perfect week to release it with all of their other acomplishments culminating too. Both Hyphen and J. Moore have been involved with hip hop in one aspect or another for quite some time and the OGs had a lot of quality stuff to say about where the culture has come from, where it is now and where it’s heading. You can listen to what hip hop means to them here:
http://da-what.com/2013/05/13/da-what-is-hip-hop-dj-hyphen-j-moore-of-kube-93-seattles-snss-stream/

You can also check out the Cornerstone Mixtape there too. As always, I ask that you please check it out and leave a comment! The artists and I have been working very hard on this series and I would love to hear what you guys think. Give me some feedback, let the artist know what you agree with, tell the world what hip hop means to you!

For those that missed any posts in the series from from Espen of Deadbeatz, Preemo Donny Goines, Nobody Famous, KJ Hines, Rashid Hadee and more, you can catch up here:

If you would like to get involved in the series by letting us know what hip hop means to YOU, please email Ben at the5collaborators@gmail.com with questions or comments.”

Thanks again for keeping up with ‘Da’ What is Hip Hop. It means a lot!
