Video: Varyus Waise - "She Knows" with Jeanette Berry

The 'She Knows' music video gives a visual account of the lyrics that hip-hop artist and activist Varyus Waise wrote to discuss the plight women go through as artists in the hip-hop community, in relationships and as young girls growing up. While he loans his voice to women's issues, he decided it would be a much more powerful statement to have no male faces in the video so the focus is on the emotion each of the characters display as they each cross paths with one another.

The track is just pure energy, and Juvenile helped us recapture that sound."
"I wanted to capture the spirit of the Negro Migration between 1940 and 1970," F.Stokes begins, speaking on his main inspirations for the track. "My Godfather and my family history was my inspiration. My family like many many Negro families in Northern cities often struggle with identifying with our culture beyond the move...values and traditions were lost in the process of trying to make a decent living."
