From Reginald C:

Audio: Savant aka Stanstro - "Flurry" (prod. by TheEnginear)

The Word is Bond returns with the most recent addition to the VERSUS series, this time featuring possibly its most intriguing pairing to date. The provided production comes courtesy of an 18-year old ATLien prodigy known as TheEnginear and is a 2 and half minute sonic swell of diverse instrumentation, placing the young beatsmith’s calling card on full display. Supplying the bars is the multi-talented Arizona (by way of Chicago) emcee, Savant aka Stanstro. The wordsmith’s ever adapting flow seems to respond directly to every added layer of instrumentation as he “...adjusts [his] rhyme style with every 4 bars...” and vocally rides the beat without fail.  The resulting audio “Flurry” is one of the best bouts ever spawned from the VERSUS series.

From Audible Treats:

Video: SL Jones x DJ Burn One Ft. Rittz & Ebony Love - "M.D.M.A."

One month ago, SL Jones released his latest mixtape, a collaborative effort with producer DJ Burn One, Paraphernalia. Since then, the Little Rock rapper has celebrated the tape with a sold-out hometown show, and now, following the video for fan-favorite "S.L.A.B.," SL is back with the fourth visual from Paraphernalia,"M.D.M.A."  "M.D.M.A." features Rittz and Ebony Love, and it's a track that SL and Burn One continued to build throughout the course of recording Paraphernalia. "This was one of the first beats DJ Burn One made for Paraphernalia," explains SL. "Rittz stopped by the studio one day and we were playing each other new tracks. I told him I had a song that was perfect for him, and once he heard it, he was all for it."

The video, shot by Red Audio, who has handled direction for a string of recent videos from SL, places Jones, Rittz, and Ebony Love inside an abandoned, paraphernalia-riddled warehouse, and, according to SL, the location came tailor made. "With the video, we wanted to match the feel of the song; the darkness and empty space, the feeling of desolation," he says. "The spot where we filmed, that's how that warehouse really looks, it's a spot where people live."

Video: @NationRuckus - "Against The Wall"

From URBNET:

Video: Nation Ruckus - "Against The Wall"

Nation Ruckus premieres the music video for its latest summer jam "Against the Wall" featuring Sir Jay and Jonathan Emile. Released in anticipation for NR's first full length album ''Boombox Manifesto'', the video is a follow-up to "Lockdown" which introduced the group's unique sonic and visual aesthetic and took over Musique Plus' Top5 Countdown for over 12 weeks in a row.

The first in a series of videos to come, the clip showcases NR's signature alternative flavor with a warm Jamaican twist. Taking place in a gritty underground bash, we find the trio kicking it alongside local talents Sir Jay and Jonathan Emile as well as some of the city's best dancers. Produced by the same team as in ''Lockdown'' (directed by IN-1 Studio and choreographed by Doïna Cocco), it was shot at Montreal's renowned Foufounes Électriques.

Perfectly fitted for cruises in the whip, the track is a heavy reggae-influenced joint reminiscing of old school hip hop, and finds NR's front man (rapper Milk-E Fresh) spitting socially conscious rhymes over a party beat.

The group's debut album, Boombox Manifesto, is set to drop September 18th under their independent label Big Dreamz Records. For more information on Nation Ruckus happenings, visit www.NationRuckus.com, follow on Twitter @NationRuckus and join the Facebook page at facebook.com/NationRuckus.

MP3: @DrkTimeSunshine - "Look At What The Cat Did" f/ @Busdriver

From Audible Treats:

MP3: Dark Time Sunshine - "Look At What The Cat Did" Ft. Busdriver

On July 24th, Dark Time Sunshine will release their new album, ANX. The other week, the duo comprised of Grayskul (Rhymesayers) rapper Onry Ozzborn and producer Zavala, released the album bonus track, "A Walk In The Park," and now, as Onry and Zavala prep for their forthcoming 31-date tour opening for Aesop Rock, Dark Time Sunshine is excited to release the first official track from ANX with "Look What The Cat Did," which features underground favorite Busdriver.

The new single, which Dark Time Sunshine refers to as "a dark pop anthem" about the luring power that they have over the women that they desire, is built around an absolutely infectious beat from Zavala. Layered synths bend, bubble, and bounce around crisp snares and thick, rapid-fire kicks, all coming to a head as Onry and Busdriver half-sing the hook, repeating, "Look at what the cat drugged in...He has your tongue."

Dark Time Sunshine's new album, ANX, which includes features from Aesop Rock, P.O.S., Busdriver, and more, will be released July 24th via Fake Four, Inc.
