San Francisco Hip Hop Artist Sellassie created a buzz last week with S.C.O.’s team effort on Faithfully (49ers Anthem) and is following up with his newly released Stop Hatin’ in the Bay Remix.  You may ask yourself, what does Sellassie mean when he says “Stop Hatin’ in the Bay.”  If you’re a native to the San Francisco bay area, you’ve seen the posters.

They’re on thousands of poles in your neighborhood and on hundreds of liquor store and smoke shop windows across the Bay Area.  Stop Hatin’ in the Bay is Sellassie’s plea to independent artists to support each other’s music and movement, by first and foremost; LISTENING TO EACH OTHER.

From guest appearing on dozens of Thizz Nation Albums and mixtapes, to working with West Coast Rap legends and well known Hip-Hop producers; The Dragons and Gorilla Pits come together to bring you the long awaited album as THE MONSTA SQUAD. A project reflecting their lives and involvement in the Rap game, as well as addressing issues in the community and world at large.

As Hip-Hop progressed in the past decade, these artists are sure to give you the feeling of the true definition. Having released their Smoke House Chronicles Vol.1 (The Dragons) as well as The Street Album (Gorilla Pits) in 2010, both buzzing with countless phenomenal guest appearances, The Dragons and Pits decided to share more of their own music by having less features this time around. Remy R.E.D, XSF (Excessive), K-Loc, Tone Bone, and Kra-Z- K, all hailing from San Leandro, Ca, and determined to put their city on the map, have nothing but their best to share.

@IamShizzie is getting ready to release another project titled "#RedInk". The 11 track project with features from artist like "S.B The Real Souljaboy", Matinee Grizz, LeeBoy, Stunt City & many more! The young up and coming artist from Boston, Shizzie decided to name his project "#Redink" for two reasons.

First, it is his favorite color, but second and more importantly he views himself as the correction to what is wrong with music today. Every bar spit was written as if he wrote a final essay in red. Being heavily influenced by West Coast sounds, Shizzie decided to bring out West Coast style production for this album for his East Coast delivary. "#Redink" will be released on February 1st and is sure to be a classic as well as a trending topic!

BBU, the four-man Chicago-based group of rappers Jasson Perez, Epic, Illekt, and DJ Esquire, is excited to release their new single, "The Hood." The track, featuring GLC and produced by Classick, is taken from BBU's forthcoming bell hooks mixtape, presented by Mad Decent and mixed by DJ Benzi, which will be released February 14th via Mishka Records.

While "The Hood," doesn't embody the same Juke-inspired sound of previous singles, the track continues the group's knack for blending the unexpected, bringing together the Windy City's old and new guard. "GLC is the homie, and a legend in Chicago hip-hop," says Epic. "We feel blessed to be on a track with him," adds Jasson, noting that GLC's unique brand of "ism" is a perfect fit for the song. "But really, it's about community, about building a movement."
