Sean Price opens a Rap Clinic after a tragic accident effects his vocal cords. He is now forced to train up-and-coming rappers, or as he likes to call them, “popcorn f*ckheads." To help prepare them for the overly critical rap world, Sean P uses brash verbal abuse to single out their many weaknesses.
S.U.H. Entertainment presents the Thomas Price-directed music video for "Left Shoulder vs. Right Shoulder", the final clip from his most recent album Middle Class Ignorance. Ignorance features Capital K, Vic Spencer, D2G, Ashley Laschelle, Ca$hflow Ellis, The Boy Illinois and JDP. "Shoulder" is the album's eighth video (see "Pointless Rap Song", "Rage", "Peer Pressure", "Confusions", "Put Me In Ya Club", "Triumphant" and "Nobody Cares").
This song has been through a few name changes since I recorded it last Tuesday. It was originally titled Bubba Ho Tep, after the Bruce Campbell film [for obvious reasons]. Then I renamed it Don Mckellar, after the brilliant Candian director/actor, for patriotic reasons. After sitting on that title, I decided to not give this one a NAME name. It's the Asian Elvis jumpoff so I wanted it to be simple. My home inspired the majority of the lyrics. Positively and negatively. So it made sense to go with the home of the mixtape's inspiration.
Let the games begin!
Hope you enjoy. <3 Derek

About the Song: "Tiger" is very strange to me. I created the track not expecting it to be released on any official project but after sending it to BTG management, we were convinced it was something more. What is Tiger? For me, the word tiger is synonymous with releasing rage and just letting loose. In this song, I do just that as I flip words and exercise my inner thoughts. Being that its the first single off my debut album titled "Standing Ovation", I'm hoping to carry the energy of "Tiger" across the entire project. Bar for bar, no slaking and no short cuts. Being abstract mentally and lyrically sound is something I pride myself on and I'm hoping that "Tiger" expresses that". V3RB
MP3: 40Love - "Anywhere" Feat. Black Spade, Anthony Coleman II
40Love can see their album release date (July 24th) on the horizon, and the group has no plans on slowing their roll before then. Now, the San Francisco-based squad is releasing their third single from Dreams Don’t Sleep, "Anywhere," which was premiered by Okayplayer.
"The song is about conveying the beauty of traveling, performing music, and keeping it genuine," explains rapper G-OFF, who, along with MC/vocalist Miss Haze and DJ/Producers Mikos and The Whooligan, just finished a fulfilling tour in Europe sponsored by skateboarding company FTC. "There’s nothing like seeing the world and establishing strong connections with like-minded people while truly being yourself."
For their new cooled-out track, 40Love called upon long-time friend Black Spade to help flesh out the concept, lay down the hook, and drop a verse. According to group, Spade brought "a fly but raw element" to "Anywhere," while G-OFF and Miss Haze laced the track with soulful braggadocio over a brass-infused beat, compliments of trumpeter Anthony Coleman II. "We can and will be anywhere and everywhere at any given time," says The Whooligan. "Shinning, grinding, hustling – no one is going to stop us."
