From Nancy B:

Video: R. City aka Rock City - "South Carolina Takeover"

Columbia, SC was the scene of Virgin Islands duo, R. City aka Rock City's latest takeover; Club Essence to be exact. There as part of their promo run for single, "We On", the guys performed for a crowd of about 300, both DJ's and music fans, during a quarterly meeting of the Paul Davis-helmed Columbia Record Pool. The real party though was in the parking lot afterward, where the duo listened to, and danced to the demos of aspiring artists for hours, signing autographs until it was too dark to see anything.

From ArtistPR:

The Forgotten City's Golden Child

SACRAMENTO, CA - 7/20/11

A Wisconsin native residing in Sacramento, CA., Swiff has fast become the new talk at the dinner table. The ability to mesh perfectly with any and all musical tracks he has blessed, its no wonder so many major artists want to feature Swiff on their upcoming albums. Influenced by the Hip Hop & R&B scene/genre of the 90's, Swiff keeps his music honest to the core he was raised...... THE STREETS.

By infusing R&B with Hip Hop in such a way you haven't heard in many years, he still finds that the loyalty of the younger new technology fan base is just as strong. Easily proving his musical capabilities is beyond the "local artist level, and now after forming the Northern California super group The Capitolist (which released their 1st album "Plot, Plan & Capitalize") Swiff is sure to be a major name in the big lights sooner than you think. http://www.reverbnation.com/swiffmusicpage .

2. Choose which album(s) you want

3. Enter this keyword code: discount

*This offer is good for 5 days only (expires, 7/24/11)

*As some of you may know I was fortunate enough to spend 60 days of my summer touring across the country in a van named "Big Sal" with my friends: Brady O'Rourke, Ordeal, Sadistik and Bodi. From playing a show for no one in New Haven, CT, getting kicked off stage for falling over in a trash can in Omaha, NE, to having a spiritual awakening with 5000 people at Soundset and rocking a near sold-out show in Missoula, MT, it was an adventure to say the least.

I want to thank everyone who made this tour possible, good friends and changes were made because of it. Thanks to: my friends and family, the supporters of kickstarter, all the fans who came out to the shows and helped spread the word, all the hosts who provided us with food and shelter and all of the venues who let us bang out on your stage.

*For those who want a wrap up of the tour and to see how we dealt with boredom in the van, please peep this video that was filmed and edited by Brady O'Rourke:

*If you prefer pictures and diary entries, please check out Bodi's tour blog; it will provide you with more of an in-depth perspective, presented on a week-to-week basis.
