High Life, the second single from Rotterdam MC, Silex, is a testament to the struggles he has endured up to this point in his career. Like any other artist, sacrifices have to be made at times, but at what cost? Silex addresses the daily struggles he has faced in his personal life as he sought the ‘high life’.

“Music provides me with a natural high and having been living the ‘high life’ for so long, I felt my grasp on reality falter for a split second,” Silex explains. “I had to tighten the reigns a bit and when I heard the sample in the track, I had to address a situation which was a major turning point for me. Folks say that out of something bad comes something good and in this instance the good is my second official single, so it can’t all be bad.”

High Life was produced by BeatBustaEnt and mixed and mastered by German studio whiz Peer Hahnefeld at .

Beats, Rhymes and Alcohol Invades SXSW on March 16, 2012 for a FREE EVENT!

ESPADA TEQUILLA (PREMIUM TEQUILLA), THE PRODUCERS SWAP MEET (#1 PRODUCER’S BRANDING PLATFORM since 2002) and Inner Loop's THE BEATDOWN (#1 PRODUCER SHOWCASE on the east coast since 2007) invades SXSW.  These three BIG brands, which together have formed to bring you past events like CHOP IT UP and THE KING OF THEBELTWAY, are headed to Austin, Texas for a HUGE event called BEATS, RHYMES and ALCOHOL that will be unlike any other during the SXSW festivities. It all goes down FRIDAY,MARCH16, 2012 in Austin, Texas.  This event will combine the efforts of several companies and organizations to give music connoisseurs a platform to compete and showcase their music talent in front of the music industry, friends and fans.

The free event will have three segments: The Producers Swap Meet (Beat Battle), The Beatdown (Established Producers Showcase) and The Red Cup Party Hosted by Playboy Tre and Sean Falyon (Great Performances and Free Alcohol). Each segment will be combined for one HUGE party starting at 1pm ending at 7pm.  These combined segments will give attendees the opportunity to network and showcase their talent through an interactive platform, thereby increasing the exposure of the fans, producers and industry people with each other and their brands.
