Toronto born emcee Promise releases a new video for his track "Somebody Else" off his latest album Awakening: http://bit.ly/QmgbFh . Produced by LordQuest, the track features the soulful vocals of Slakah on the hook and addresses ironic pressures of life that make us want to be somebody else in order to be accepted as our self. Director Andre Rehal creates a visually appealing storyline.

Freeway is excited to announce the release of his newest album, Diamond In the Ruff, out now via Babygrande Records. The highly anticipated album features appearances from Wale, Marsha Ambrosius, Vivian Green, Neef, and more as well as production by Just Blaze, Jake One, Bink!, Needlz, and others.
To accompany today's album release, Freeway is releasing the album's latest single, "True." The song, premiered by FADER, which features Maybach Music Group rapper Wale, and is produced by Jake One and DJ Khalil, is built around the two producers' lush instrumentation and crisp drums, falling easily behind the chorus' crooned vocals, "Behind every strong man is a woman." Free and Wale stick to the script, trading bars throughout about the objects of their desire. "Wendy's drive-through/ She got me open nights," raps Freeway. "Know how to work the mic/ Plus she ride, too."
Pac Div, the West Coast triple threat composed of Mibbs, Like, and BeYoung, is releasing their sophomore album, GMB, via The Div Co. and RBC Records today. GMB, which is vowed to be their most heavy hitting release to date, is now available for purchase on iTunes. To celebrate the album release this morning, Rolling Stone premiered the Div's latest video, "Black Acura" featuring Mac Miller.
GMB is a seventeen-track experience chronicling the lives of Mibbs, Like, and BeYoung as they help marshal in Los Angeles hip-hop's second renaissance. The trio unite with other notable proliferators of this LA resurgence, including Kendrick Lamar and Blu on the single "Cross Trainers" and Ty$ on "The Return," and aim to reestablish themselves, and their city, as the ruling class of rap. "Bottom line, Pac Div is back," says Mibbs. "LA is back. We never left. We just continue to get stronger with every release and that will never stop.
It's not exclusively an LA affair however; for "Black Acura," Pac Div call upon their Pittsburgh homie Mac Miller to lay down a couple uncharacteristic bars, and to use his house for some of this video. "Chillin' at Mac's LA crib was fun while filming, it brought back the Blue Slide Park Tour memories," remarked Mibbs. Making the laundromat, a living room, and a dank bar look like reasonable places to start a rap career, the guys have an air of comfortable superiority in this first video from GMB, directed by Austin Winchell. "The energy behind this song has a very laid back yet aggressive feel," says Mibbs. "It's a perfect medium for what we wanted to convey to the fans: a quiet cockiness."

This album is dedicated to the passing of Lone Ninja's father who died earlier this year. -- Lone Ninja is often compared to the likes of MF Doom, due to the concealment of his identity and also to Killarmy for the war zone imagery he masterfully conveys in his rhymes. He has shown that he can hold his own on tracks with Underground Hip Hop heavyweights such as Reef The Lost Cause (The Kumite) and UG of the Cella Dwellas (Enemy Base).
'Rogue Agent' is Lone Ninja's most ambitious solo album to date, boasting 27 tracks, 11 features and 14 assorted producers. It is an action packed rollercoaster ride that stays consistant and combines the distinct sounds from his three previous albums and then takes it to a higher level. Some featured producers include the 3 core producers from the previous albums June Marx, Lord Gamma, Blaq Masq, JBL The Titan, White Shadow, Kyo Itachi, EDK, and more.
'Rogue Agent' is available TODAY (November 27th) at UGHH, Sandbox Automatic, AccessHiphop, Amazon, iTunes and various other digital stores. For more info check: www.lone-ninja.com.
