Audio: Kanye West "Mercy" x The Police "Message in a Bottle"

From Scott Melker:

Audio: Kanye West "Mercy" x The Police "Message in a Bottle"

I wanted to share a new joint with you… I did this track for the upcoming project from YOUNG AND RECKLESS (Rob Dyrdek + Big Black etc.), CLUBTAPES.COM AND TERRY URBAN entitled "RATCHET ROCK." This track marries "Message In A Bottle" by The Police with Kanye's smash hit "Mercy," along with self-produced elements. Hopefully you will like it! It is the only track being prereleased from the project, which is really exciting for me…

From Audible Treats:

Video: IamSu! - "2 Milli"

Last month, IamSu! released what is fast becoming his breakout mixtape, KILT. Following a string of radio success that included writing, producing, and guesting on LoveRance's "UP!" and a guest appearance on E-40's "Function," Su! delivered, with KILT, a tape that eschewed much of that radio friendliness in lieu of a collection of fun, heartfelt tracks that show off the breadth and depth of Su! as an artist.

Already the project has garnered strong reviews, and with a string of videos and remixes still forthcoming, along with a hometown headline performance at Vino's in Little Rock this Saturday, June 16th, today, the Little Rock rapper and Atlanta producer are excited to unveil the video for the fan-favorite single "S.L.A.B."

Rapper & Single Father Wordsmith Releases Father's Day Album

From Ballin PR:

Rapper & Single Father Wordsmith Releases Father's Day Album, 'King Noah'- a blueprint for his young son--JUNE 19

* http://www.rapreviews.com/archive/2012_05_wordsmith-kingnoah.html *

Since starting his career in the 2007, Wordsmith has been a thinking man's emcee. On his third solo project, King Noah, the Baltimore, MD rapper has created a straightforward hip-hop album, no swag. no gimmicks. With his trademark keen wordplay, **King Noah** (NU Revolution Entertainment) is in part a celebration of his young son, Kingston Noah Parker, and part blue print for all young men in America. Featured guests include ELiM, Phil Ade and K. Sparks. Production is shared by Centric, Capish, Certified, Rednaz Beats, Strada, DJ Eclipse, and Benny Rome.

Whether it be “Music for the Masses,” "Never Be the Same" feat. ELiM, “Eye for the Spotlight" feat. Phil Ade, Wordsmith tackles topical subjects such as hate, racial profiling, achieving your dreams, and leadership over head-nodding jazz infused beats reminiscent of hip-hop's golden era.
Hardly new to the scene, Wordsmith originally caught the attention of critics in 2009 after teaming-up with the legendary Chubb Rock after they released Bridging the Gap, an album which was powered by the lead single, “OId 2 the New.” The next year, he released his debut solo LP Vintage Experience (2010), which garnered him praise for his creativity and witty wordplay. “After only a few moments of speaking with Wordsmith one can see his advantage over other rappers…” stated Allhiphop.com. In addition, the album was lauded in outlets such as Hip Hop Weekly, Washington Post, Urb, HipHopDX, 2 Dope Boyz, Sohh, and MTV Mixtape Mondays.
Wordsmith garnered an ASCAPLUS Award in 2011-2012 and he licensed tracks with Nintendo, ESPN, VH1, Golf Channel, Six Flags, ABC, CBS and PBS.
Born in Germany, the son of a U.S. Army Colonel, Wordsmith traveled the world and developed a broad musical palette from an early age.  “I went to school at the United Nations because by ten years old," explains the worldly Wordsmith, "I had friends from every corner of the globe. Having that experience has just made me more open to different cultures and experiences--and I try to convey that in my music."
If Wordsmith's goal was to create another heartfelt album his son can live by, King Noah is already a success.

King Noah will be available June 19.
