"Burgundy walls are literally the color of the walls in my living room. In fact the entire video was shot in my home in my living room and then we occupied another room and painted it burgundy just for the shoot. The idea came to me back in '09, I was smoking some fine chronic and I came across the instrumental. I was having one of those moments where you stare off into space, but only I was staring at my burgundy painted walls and started reflecting on how far I've come in life. Its not hard to decipher, but if you listen closely I'm saying in the chorus how "I remember" and "don't you wish you had some burgundy walls" as a metaphor for, 'don't you wish you had time to sit down and reflect or reminisce?' It's easy to get caught up in the fast pace life, so in these verses, I'm just taking it back to my random history, inspired through Dilla's instrumental, the chronic and my burgundy walls…"

Is Perception KING or QUEEN? Or, a blurred line in between? That line can sometimes best be defined as “MAGIC”. The art of magic is displayed by slight of hand, and by natural forces being influenced by mysterious powers. In this video demonstration for “The Magician” the mystery remains, but the veil is slightly lowered.
MP3: Stu Bangas & Vanderslice - "No More Mr. Nice Guy"
Producers Stu Bangas & Vanderslice will release their newest album, Diggaz With Attitude, on August 28th via Man Bites Dog Records featuring verses from Ill Bill, Vinnie Paz, Esoteric, Celph Titled, Blaq Poet, and many more. To get you in the mood, they're highlighting a new track, "No More Mr. Nice Guy" from the mixtape they just released.
The mixtape, which is called Brutal Blends, intends to direct fans back to their previous work. With the help of Dusty Gems, they created a seamless collection of never-heard-before songs featuring Action Bronson, Vast Aire, Ill Bill, Planet Asia, and Wais P.
"No More Mr. Nice Guy," produced by Vanderslice, blends a slow, purposeful beat with a wailing electric guitar riff. "The inspiration for the beat was based off my affinity for glam rock," says Vanderslice, and explained that the mood of the beat was what inspired the song title. The track features West Coast MC Planet Asia, long considered a legend in indie rap circle since the 90's. Planet Asia's militant mindset provides the perfect complement to the provocative mood of "No More Mr. Nice Guy."
