It's finally time. This project has taken me quite a bit longer than my previous projects, but I wanted to make sure I give you all my very best. This album is a culmination of emotions, and events that happen to me over the past few years and I'm sure it's a ride everyone can enjoy.
If at all possible try to listen to the album in order.
Anyway. Thanks again and make sure you tweet me what you guys think, because your opinions are the only one's that matter.
PR: Shame Gutta Turns Up Temperature w/ "Summertime"
San Antonio, Texas- After blazing over a hundred mixtapes in the past two years with his laid-back flow and witty lyrics steeped in the harsh realities of the mean streets of the Lone Star State, San Antonio-based rhyme master Shame Gutta brings even more heat with the lead single "Summertime" from his debut album entitled Ain't No Half Step'n set to drop August 9.
Unquestionably one of the Southwest region's fastest-rising stars, Shame has blazed several mixtapes including the legendary Live From The Gutta, Live From The Gutta 2, Show Me The Money, Hustlin' On Every Block HTP Radio 2 with Nu Jerzey Devil and 1984. These mix tapes and countless others led to him doing collaborations with Playboy Tre, Bohagon, Bavu Blakes, Liveola, Magno, OJ Da Juiceman, Donnie Cross, Big Pokey, Question, Spark Dawg and 50/50 Twin.
Shame Gutta's debut LP Ain't No Half Step'n is one the Southwest's most anticipated albums. The LP is produced by San Antonio's hottest producers Big Rob, No Gimmicks, HTP, Paul Cantor, J-Splenda, Marcuz Elbo along with Worldwide and A-Train ofTimeless Productions. Ain't No Half Step'n promises to be one of the best rap records to come out of the Great State of Texas in the past five years.
"I want my place in this rap game," says a confident, almost cocky Shame Gutta. "And this debut LP is gonna make it happen for me because I am giving the fans exactly what they want from a classic album - good music, tight hooks and hot lyrics. They're gonna love it and me."

"The Story of OG" comes from up and coming Memphis rapper OG Boo Dirty, whose recent single "Bands On Me" features Rocko and has been featured on World Star Hip Hop. He has been sought out by rapper Soulja Boy for an official remix to the song. OG Boo Dirty is going to appear on MTV's Sucker Free rap show coinciding with the release of this album.
When my buddy Jus Rhyme told me the Art In The Streets exhibit would be running during my short trip to LA I was instantly down to go. As soon as my plane landed he scooped me up and we hit The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA (Museum Of Contemporary Art). Now, having grown up in the NYC area I’ve seen my fair share of street art, and I recently wrote about a graffiti inspired art show that went on in Bridgeport, CT, but I was totally unprepared for the vastness of Art In The Streets.
Florida-based Willie Evans Jr. brings us Billy Lotion, a beat cd inspired by Aloe Blacc's most recent album Good Times. The emcee, producer, and visual artist will be releasing his full length project, Introducin’ on July 19th via High Water Music.
“The good people over at High Water Music asked me to stop playing Tekken 6 long enough to explain/talk about Billy Lotion. Billy Lotion is essentially the product of Sucio Smash letting me hear Aloe Blacc’s most recent album and then saying “What if you made a beat cd out of this album?” After listening to (and being blown away by) the album I sat down, partook of the shrubbery and made beats. It’s pretty much that simple. This is basically a pet project that, through the magic of the ‘SucioPrism’ is now in your hard drive and hopefully on your phone/iPod/iPad/blah. Please enjoy. And buy 1000 copies of my next album. I’m obligated to say that. But do it though.”
