From K1:

Video: Kero One - "Shortcuts" (#BanksyInspired)

Just a few days after the release of his highly anticipated 4th album, Color Theory, Kero One drops the MV for Shortcuts, a self-produced single featuring Maryland native, Sam Ock.

Directed by Ross Ching, the video tells the story of 2 people (Ock and Yuri Tag, of Kaba Modern) whose lives are changed as an antagonist, played by Kero One, eventually uses his street art in a very mysterious way.

As an ex- graffiti artist, it seems fitting that Kero One would pay homage to his early street art days with throw back references from the 80's hiphop classic Beatstreet as well as legendary NY street artist Keith Haring. Watch to see how Kero One ultimately has a change of heart and alters the lives of Sam and Yuri.

Video: @TheBlackOpera Signs w/ MelloMusicGroup

From MMG:

Video: The Black Opera Signs w/ Mello Music Group

The independent collective, comprised of intellectuals, musicians, creators, artists and agents known as The Black Opera launched its mission last year armed with audio and video demonstrations. To our surprise, this secret society of creatives extended an honorable invitation to US. After listening intensely for the past year, Mello Music Group decided to join The Black Opera – signing them to a multi-album deal and issuing a physical edition of “EnterMission.” August 28th on CD and September 25th on vinyl to add to the archives.  The Black Opera issued the following statement about the signing:

"The Black Opera is not solely a musical outfit, music is only one aspect that represents THE BLACK OP: ERA. But, when it was time for The Black Opera to get their Musical Movement to ears of the future, they mapped out a plan. They knew that the Third and Final Endstallment of The Black Op Era: I; "Libretto: Of King Legend", would be the Beginning of something special. Special enough to enlist a company worthy of joining forces with, that company is Mello Music Group.

Both sides decided to join forces in order to advance to their own vision and to assist the vision of their partner. This partnership stems from mutual admiration and appreciation of what each had done on their own. This marks the Beginning of a New Era for both Movements, as ONE.

WE: Will. NOT: Stop.

BE GREAT."

In addition, TBO prepared a visual presentation of “The Magician” asking “Is Perception KING or QUEEN? Or, a blurred line in between? That line can sometimes best be defined as "MAGIC". The art of magic is displayed by slight of hand, and by natural forces being influenced by mysterious powers. In this video demonstration for "The Magician" the mystery remains, but the veil is slightly lowered.

The Opera is still Black, but this track brings new hints of sound in color. "The Magician" is a modern day vintage style mini-movie with a realistic portrayal of what happens when "too much, too soon" and "too little, too late" collide on the same track in a relationship. Join The Black Opera for this black tie affair and SPREAD THE WARNING.

MP3: JNaturaL x Jeff Wonder - "Cliche Killer"

JNaturaL x JeffWonder have musical history together. From the days of their music upbringing in the early 2000's in San Diego California these two have made a special bond which has allowed them to produce 2 full length albums together. "Escape from Babylon" and "Love is on Hiatus". From musical direction to art direction this team has created works of art that range from musical to visual and everything in between.

Jeff Wonder better known as photographer and director Jeffrey Dojillo produced this track which is used as the closing song for this and other webisodes of his new soon to be released documentary "Inside the Fight", a look behind the scenes into Muay Thai fighting.

To commemorate rejoining forces (albeit briefly) with the homie Open Mike Eagle I thought I would dig up the podcast from wayyyy back in October when him and JNatural were in CT for some shows and I wrangled them into my studio sound levels are abit low with JNat so turn it up loud.  You can DL the podcast HERE or to stream check it on Rapreviews.com

The homie HW and I sat down to talk relationships, making it as an artist, touring and much more!!!  As i will be sharing a car with him and ESH for the next few weeks check the chemistry before hand and check one of the shows posted above.  To DL click the cover art or link HERE, to stream check Rapreviews.com

For those who like to just here me spin the music and less talk, here are two of my most recent shows on RWD.FM which is on hiatus until I get my studio back together following a debilitating robbery (thank you Bridgeport!) which has left me without most of my gear...

Kitchen Sink Dubstepalicious Edition
Kitchen Sink Hip-Hoptastic Edition

In addition to coming out to see me spin and get drinks, you can have me serve your drinks to you as well; providing I am not on tour or DJing elsewhere.  Yup, slanging the sauce two nights a week (Monday & Thursday) as well as Friday days @ Karma Lounge NYC.  Come on in and see if I can serve it up drinks as well as I serve up sucker DJs...
