On March 22nd Trackademicks blesses us with his latest offering off of his debut album, State Of The Arts. "Check" features HNRL cohort Josie Stingray for what serves as the quintessential pre-game attitude adjustment/enhancement for a night out. As Track states in his liner note for the song, "'Check' is about being Fresh with what you got".
Cocktail and Sartorial references included, the two playfully trade perspectives on this theme, with Track's trademark breezy synth-laced soundscape as a the backdrop.

BABYGRANDE @ SXSW WITH WU-TANG CLAN, ERYKAH BADU, FISHBONE, ROCKY BUSINESS & MORE
Babygrande Records, in honor of its 10-year anniversary, is excited to announce its partnership with Village Voice Media and Frank151 to sponsor “Showdown” at SXSW 2011 on Thursday March 17th at Austin City Music Hall.
“Showdown” features a hand picked selection of legendary acts and rising stars to create the biggest night of hip-hop in Austin. Featuring Wu-Tang Clan, Erykah Badu, Fishbone, Yelawolf, Trae Tha Truth, Rocky Business & many more, this is a night that will live on long after the curtains close.
Babygrande/FrankRadio artist Rocky Business emerged from New York’s Lower East Side music scene by continually pushing the limits of creativity with their genre-defying blend of hip-hop, indie rock, punk, and electronica. On the verge of releasing their debut EP, A Rebel’s Roar, the band, headed by frontman/emcee Strictly Business and producer/guitarist Johnny On The Rocks, has earned a reputation for their live shows, consistently giving “an epic performance, during which drums are chucked, people are lifted, and everyone appears pleasantly moist.” - L Magazine
Laced with heartfelt rhymes and an infectious melody, the group’s lead single, “Rocky’s Theme” is a pleasing blend of musicianship and pop sensibility. Seamlessly combining harmony and complexity, “Rocky’s Theme” is an emphatic anthem and a reminder that things never stay the same.

MY EP 'Gina and the Garage Sale" IS FINALLY HERE
For immediate release:
Kosha Dillz combines with German production team Shuko and Fonty to create Gina and The Garage Sale, a 9 song EP that follows up his acclaimed solo Freshman album Beverly Dillz. Gina, a friend of Kosha who passed away of an overdose during the recording, will be part his free (5 song) portion of the album and target many of Kosha's darker struggles via personal stories of crime, drug addiciton, and death. The Garage Sale signify's the inner cleansing of his house and puts out all for sale in typical hustle minded Kosha Dillz action. The two titles separately combine to balance the yin and yang of Kosha's light hearted attitude toward serious issues and ultimately combine to balance the mature artist he has grown to become amidst all his tribulations.
On Gina and the Garage Sale, songs like Span-Hebrish (Ech ani Olech), a song in spanish hebrew and english, maintain the cultural aesthetic to the Israeli-American MC while "All these years" digs deep into the personal struggle of an MC against time of life. The versatility of the short project shows with his collaboration diversity, including appearances from Homeboy Sandman, MC Lars, Geo of Blue Scholars, and introduces Parisian folk singer Mojo Hanna.
Kosha has been touring the USA on the Give Me Five tour for over 40 cities w/ acts ranging from Tennis to Del The Funky Homosapien, raising nickels for the Tipitinas Foundation via merchandise/ticket sales/social media. Tiptinas Foundation provides instruments and music lessons to nearly 60 New Orleans community schools to help kids pursue their musical dreams. In this past year, the DIY indie artist has boasted 2 videos on MTV, earned his own character on NBA 2k11, and toured with the likes of Matisyahu and Snoop Dogg.
By all means am I excited for this adventure. In April Sadistik and I will embark on a 3 week long journey through Europe. While we are there we will be writing an EP together, which will be available in May. Also joining us on the trip will be my wife, Sharri (Satori Photography); she will be photo-documenting our trip, which will be available to view on my blog: HERE.
