Brandon Antoine Brown Sr a.k.a Benjit-Tar Presha was born in Madion Florida on April 22nd, 1985. At the age of 1 moved to Miami Florida with custodial parents where he was raised until the age of 17. Later moved to Valdosta GA until the age of 23, relocated to Orlando Florida, Jacksonville Florida, and Daytona Beach Florida.
At the age of 9, Benji-Tar Presha got his first taste for the craft of music listening to a relative make his own music. By the age of 13 Benji-Tar started writing his own lyrics due to excessive punishments and quality time he spent in his room for his behavior at school and at home "I was so angry on the inside at that age".
At the age of 17, Benjit-Tar Presha moved to Valdosta Ga where he met a next door neighbor that was into recording at the studio and doing local shows, "Young Pitt, King Supreme, ByrdBaby, J- Cool the Purple Prince introduced him to the world of the music industry. He later joined G.B.C Gutta Boy Click where he began to master his craft. Here he remained until the click fell apart and reality sunk in and everyone went there separate way. "No matter what we always will be GBC".
For a while Presha stopped doing music and begin designing his own clothing line and company named Yophi Fashions. One day while defining the situation on his business, he ran across Michelle Reynolds of HigherPower Entertainment, KingPen Entertainment and The Free AgentShow. She became his agent in the field of fashion. A couple of weeks after, he spit some lyrics to her that was mind blowing. She told the CEO SouthSide of KPE all about him. Later on that week he got the opportunity to meet SouthSide. "SouthSide a cool cat I never met anyone like him before" gave him a shot of recording his 1st single Street Percussion. It wasn't a success but got plenty of play locally.
The next single Sick n Tired began to get major recognition along with Who Am I. "At first I was very uncomfortable with the music I began to do, they pulled me in a different direction far away from the hardcore rap I was use to, I found the defintion of true hip-hop with KPE."
Shortly after he moved to Orlando FLorida and purchase his own studio equipment, hit after hit was being made thereafter: Summer Nights ft Nubian Vee of KPE, Drippin, King-Kong, Sex and Alcohol, Life goes on, Dont come down and many more songs he has done. " I love music it helps me find myself and I can let the world hear my story, How many people know the true definition of Hip-Hop, where are the trendsetters, everyone is doing the same music, same beat patterns, same lyrical content. Who is willing to bring the positivity into the industry. I have a message that I am trying to send out to the world. Its not all about the cars, clothes, women. Its about guiding everyone to the lane of success. I think there should be a genre called entertainment. I'm not a artist that put on and flauge. If my music gets deep down inside and change one person then I feel I have accomplished a lot".
Benji-Tar Presha also owns his own record label: Yophi Muzik Group and Green Flag Committee. Which is merged with KingPen Entertainment. He is apart of The FreeAgent http://www.freeagentshow.com Show and A.C.M.F Azalea City Music Festival.
The singles from Dustin Prestige's most recent release, The Kelly & Jessie EP, have shown an artist unafraid to experiment, unafraid to delve into new sounds and bend genres in new and exciting ways. And continuing down that path – displaying pride, insight, and vulnerability – the Missouri City, Texas, rapper invites the world to get even closer to the man behind the microphone with his latest, "Army Of Me." "The inspiration behind the song," explains Prestige, "was a breakup, and the fight to stay on level ground afterwards."
Popping up again behind the boards for "Army Of Me" is Chris Rockaway, who, in addition to producing the entirety of The Kelly & Jessie EP, continues to make his name known working with peers like Hollywood FLOSS, and others. And he's no stranger genre-bending work with Dustin; "Army Of Me" picks up right where previous single "Rise" left off, mixing forceful kicks and heavy guitar licks. Effortlessly combining them with samples from hit '80s sitcom Saved By The Bell (what The Kelly and Jessie EP is loosely based around), Rockaway provides the perfect bar stool for Dustin to sing his heart out, as he trades his prolific raps for a more soulful mix of harmonies as he belts out, "The next shot that I have is sure to kill me."
