From Audible Treats:

Kreayshawn's Smash Single "Gucci Gucci" Now Available

As "Gucci Gucci" Video Approaches Three Million Views, Single Hits Digital Retail

(Brooklyn, NY – June 14, 2011) With insatiable interest surrounding 21-year old rapper, videographer, and visual artist Kreayshawn, she, along with her new label home Columbia Records/Sony Music Entertainment, are excited to announce that "Gucci Gucci," Kreayshawn's new smash single, is now available digital retailers everywhere.

With newly mastered high quality mp3’s now available, fans no longer have to listen to fuzzy YouTube-ripped versions of the song. Kreayshawn is especially excited to have the newly mastered high quality version on deck. She says, ”I'm thinking about how up until now, everyone has had to watch the video on YouTube to hear the song or has had to rip the audio off YouTube. which sounds so different from the actual song.” She continues, "Now you can take the song everywhere you go and not be a basic bitch by having the bootsy ripped version! I can't wait till you guys are downloading my album, which is coming up next!"

Released in mid-May, Kreayshawn's video for "Gucci Gucci," directed by Joseph Zentil of Strange Customs, quickly took off, garnering over 200,000 views in 48 hours and 1 million views in a week. With the increasing support from significant mixshows across the country at mutli-format radio and from media outlets such as Billboard, MTV, High Times, Gawker, Dazed & Confused, and more, Kreayshawn signed a record deal with Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment. Her label is now formally releasing “Gucci Gucci,” complete with artwork that was designed under her artistic direction.

Video: Max Burgundy - "Life Ain't Funny"

From Xavier @ The Musebox:

Video: Max Burgundy - "Life Ain't Funny"

Life Ain't Funny by Max Burgundy [Official Music Video] from Oliver Irving.

New York, NY - Not since Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" has a music video so vividly captured the grog and grind of the real New York City. With his trusty boombox in hand, hip hop MC Max Burgundy busks through subways, maneuvers through dizzying crowds, and raps in the middle of zooming traffic. In "Life Ain't Funny", director Oliver Irving takes us on an adventure through the city and into the life of our homeless character Max. One scene shows Max on the "Henry Rivera" street in the Bronx which was named after his father who died saving someone's life. For those in the NYC area, be sure to check him out at Tammany Hall on June 29th.

Hailing from the streets of the Bronx and currently living in Brooklyn, Max Burgundy's sound is a fresh combination of city flair and articulate, songwriter artistry. His raw and colorful style, along with his ability to blend genres, has already earned Burgundy comparisons to successful hip hop peers including Polaris Music Prize nominee Shad and the legendary Del the Funky Homosapien.

As demonstrated on his debut EP Waiting, Burgundy's addictive beats are consistently and cleverly highlighted by bright lyrics, making his material a helix of sonic pleasure. On "Hey Love!" Burgundy manages to pack a steady rhythm, bright instrumental ornamentation, and a genuine story of obsession delivered by glowing vocals into a sultry four minutes.

Video/MP3: Rockwell Knuckles - "Natural Born Leader"

From Audible Treats:

Video/MP3: Rockwell Knuckles - "Natural Born Leader"

Rockwell Knuckles x MATW: Behind the Scenes of "Natural Born Leader" from Ryan Powell.

Bringing a song into existence is a very private process for most artists, but Rockwell Knuckle's latest video gives fans an opportunity to see all the behind-the-scenes action for the making of his song "Natural Born Leader," a track from Rockwell's recently released album, You're Fucking Out I'm Fucking In. Set within the walls of Shock City Studios in his hometown of St. Louis, MO, the black and white video chronicles Rockwell's collaboration with songstress Theresa Payne, and shows off the emcee's organic writing methods in addition to his band's trial-and-error approach to making each note sound just right. According to MATW, who produced the video, the song took a lengthy eight hours to create, but thankfully all the best parts were compressed into this five-minute film. With only the sounds from inside the studio acting as the video's soundtrack, the visual is an intimate look at the rising MC's creative process, which ranges from idiosyncratic to focused to light-hearted.

Outside of Rockwell's work on his own album, he's stayed busy working and collaborating with artists from around the country, including Sean Falyon and Vandalyzm for the song "Word Gets Around," from Falyon's recently released mixtape, Sean Falyon Be Everywhere 2: West Philly To The World.
