PR: Mike Beatz and Adonis Revive the Boom Bap

International selling performing artist Mike Beatz teams up with Norwegian producer Adonis for a classic album dedicated to the Boom Bap featuring Royce da 5’9”, Skyzoo, AZ and more.

Miami, FL US – April 2011 – Tomorrow, Mike Beatz and Adonis will debut their official 10-song collaboration album, Boom Bap, featuring heavyweight emcees Royce Da 5’9, AZ, Guilty Simpson, Reks and more. This G.T.P.S. release packs the punch that you would think an album called Boom Bap would pack, with the first track, “Go Hard”, providing the perfect opener to the raw hip-hop vibe of the whole disc. This entire album is furnished with captivating lyrics that compliment the hard-hitting boom bap sound, but on tracks like “Straight Like Indian Hair“ and “Signal”, Mike taps into the boom bap of his heart beat and brings out his more emotion provoking rhymes, giving the listener a reason to connect with his words on a deeper level, and proving that this is not only a remarkable album, but a very well rounded one as well. Boom Bap is polished hip-hop purity, a gem for any music collection.

From ISLH:

Video: Stereo Boyz - "Circus Act"

"Circus Act" is the second video off the Stereo Boyz' latest EP "Live from the Ghettoblaster". As the chorus goes "Rap is a circus of clowns", the song describes todays rap game as a colorful, corrupted gathering of puppets, playing the roles of rappers for fame, success and money.

The video reflects that same idea. Shot in Detroit, the Stereo Boyz put together a creative and entertaining piece of art, reminiscent of energetic 90s hip hop videos, to show that rap can be performed in a unique way, not following the instructions of a ringmaster.

Video: Esinchill - "Feel My Pain"

From Audible Treats:

Video: Esinchill - "Feel My Pain"

Last Thursday marked the release of Esinchill's sophomore album, Vigilante, and already the album is receiving a good amount of hype, but in case you haven't heard of the Oakland, California rapper quite yet here's the perfect opportunity. Esinchill is now releasing a brand new music video for his latest single, "Feel My Pain," a song and video that exposes a detailed picture of the man behind the rhymes.

With keys bouncing in the background early on, the song immediately takes on a personal feel. "The main inspiration was freeing myself of the weight that I had been carrying and harboring towards folks," explains Esinchill as he raps about close relationships. "Resentment and its residue is heavy indeed." And in the last verse you can hear him dissecting his own faults about not being an open person and being hard to talk to, as he raps, "talking to me is like pulling teeth/ I'm well aware of that/ An introvert that rhymes berserk/ Come on, how fair is that?" And to match the song with an equally powerful feel, the video, which was directed by Casual of the legendary Hieroglyphics Crew, and shot in black-and-white for a raw feel, took a straight forward approach, putting Esinchill at the forefront and catching Esinchill in his own element.

From Kerosene Media:

PR: Moonshine Bandits New Song Featuring Big B

THE MOONSHINE BANDITS PREMIERE NEW SONG, “FOR THE OUTLAWZ,” FEATURING COLT FORD AND BIG B ON AOL’S THE BOOT

Central California’s country/hip-hop rebel band, the Moonshine Bandits will premiere their new single, “For The Outlawz,” (feat. Colt Ford & Big B) on AOL’s The Boot online at http://www.theboot.com/2011/04/27/moonshine-bandits-for-the-outlawz-colt-ford-big-b/ . The new song is just a swig of what fans can expect from the band’s new album, Whiskey and Women, which will hit stores and digital realms on May 10, 2011, courtesy of Suburban Noize Records. Moreover, fans that want to get their buzz early can submit their pre-order request at www.WhiskeyandWomenCD.com

The Moonshine Bandits’ new single, “For The Outlawz,” featuring Colt Ford & Big B is an anthem for those music fans and tastemakers out there who like to blend their genres—which makes it extremely fitting that Average Joe’s Entertainment’s flagship entertainer, Colt Ford, lent his vocals on the tune.

“Not only was this song written about those rebels and outlaws we’ve met out on the road at shows over the years; it’s also written for those music critics that can’t seem to understand our type of music that mixes hip-hop with country,” said Tex from Moonshine Bandits. “Just like outlaws aren’t always accepted by society, our brand of music isn’t always accepted by the music industry because they don’t know how to categorize us.”

Like Ford, the Moonshine Bandits have the uncanny ability to connect with fans through their music’s real-life, blue collar subject matter. “We have been friends with Colt Ford for awhile and have always respected his music because he also combines elements of hip-hop and country in his music. He has been very successful and has knocked down industry doors for artists like us. We respect his style of music so we reached out to him for this song because we knew he’d be the perfect fit.”
