What do Hollywood director Tony Kaye (American History X), Malay (Frank Ocean's producer), and Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugz N Harmony all have in common? They all worked on Niia's upcoming project. Here is Niia's first release "Libertine Hero".
Westside Pharmacy is a provocative portrait of personal
experiences and maturation. At its core it is a passionate
narrative that documents the urban plight and social ills from the vantage point of a young man lost in the world and trying to balance faith, pain, and heartbreak while in desperate pursuit of sanity and peace of mind. Its penetrating street single “Cloud” with its menacing 808’s and minimalistic characteristic is centralized around the theme that many of the massages and ethos communicated in hip hop culture are poisonous. “The Realest” with its ethereal and imaginative soundscape showcases Japhia awakening from a dream like state and attempting to put his thoughts into real time “I had a dream that I saved Left Eye”. Sonically this album is littered with nostalgia, while simultaneously showcasing progressive sounds. Fans will be sure to get there fix. Welcome to the Pharmacy.

Connecticut emcee Hayze has recently joined the ranks of Esoteric, Bronze Nazareth, and MHz Legacy as the newest member of Man Bites Dog Records' roster, and has also become Apathy's young protégée. With the support of his potent new team, Hayze is gearing up to release his mixtape The Smokers Section, due out this December.
Hayze linked with fellow Connecticut rapper Apathy by pure chance when the King of CT walked into Hayze's recording session at Smoke The World's studio. "He sounded mad different from anything I was hearing at the time," says Apathy. "Most fans would probably expect me to champion someone who has a similar sound as Demigodz or AOTP, but that's exactly the opposite of what I heard from him and what I dug about his music."
