The Hip-Hop Shop #118 - New April 2011 Flavor

It's time for another dope edition of The Hip-Hop Shop! I call this show Some April 2011 Flavor and it's literally just that - music we were sent this month just so we could promote the artists on this show. It's a diverse mix, from known names like Rapper Big Pooh and Swollen Members, to up-and-comers like Shane Eli and DaMansion. If you like the show or have some feedback follow me on Twitter @angrymarks; or send your podsafe (RIAA free) music and advertising requests to dj.flash@rapreviews.com. Thanks for listening and remember to share the show with a friend and tell them to check it out every Tuesday on RapReviews.com!

Singer/poet/musician/

entrepeneur Jonathan Emile was in the hospital fighting for his life when he created his "Mind Peace Love" philosophy. Today, he runs Mindpeacelove Records when he's not studying towards his philosophy degree.  He appeared on the Grammy long-list in the 'Rap Album of The Year' category and 'Jazz Album of The Year' category as a member of the Franco Proietti Morph-Tet. The internet also has taken notice with over 200,000 fans online (Facebook, Youtube, Myspace, Twitter). The majority of all the money he makes goes to charities dealing with children and young adult / teen cancers. Here he presents his remix to Lupe Fiasco's "Words I Never Said", hot on the heels of his own smash single "Heroes". Written over a J.Dilla instrumental, this exotic teaser has a classic Neo Soul vibe that will make people explore their imagination.

Illin' P will be releasing a few download every week leading up to the release of his newest mixtape "3 Lefts 2 Make A R1ght". The mixtape will be an appetizer for his fans who have been following Illin' P since his collaborations with Krs-One, Mr. Lif, The Snowgoons and Ripshop as he prepares to release his album "Gentleman Sings The Black And Blues" in Fall of 2011.
