PR: Potluck Ask Fans to Title New Studio Album

From Suburban Noize Records:

Potluck Ask Fans to Title New Studio Album

Humboldt County hip-hop royalty, Potluck are currently locked down in the studio recording the follow-up to their critically acclaimed “Pipe Dreams” record. Potluck are currently seeking fan submissions in a contest to title the group’s new studio album online at http://www.facebook.com/potluck.music. The winner, as chosen by Potluck, will be credited in the liner notes of the album and receive a prize pack of materials directly from the group.

“Potluck’s music is more than just 1 Ton and Underrated; it’s a movement.  We make music about everyday life and the way we see it. When we go on tour, we get off stage, go to the bar, and party just like everyone else, “commented 1 Ton.  “When we talk to our fans on tour they are always giving suggestions for songs we should make or ideas they have. Now that we’re almost done recording our new album we decided to let the fans title our new CD by posting their suggestions on our Facebook.  This is your chance to be a part of Potluck history and be credited in the CD, so make sure your suggestion is creative and represents everything that Potluck is about. Good luck!”

Potluck recently released their video for the track "Vapors" online at http://www.youtube.com/user/PotluckTV. The track appears on the group’s "Greatest Hits With My Buds" album, which also features guest appearances by Tech N9ne, D12, E-40, Chali 2na, and The Luniz.

The second song from Dawaun's EP, Schemin' is one for the crate diggers, and proves he's aiming high.  Hip-Hop heads will be be pleased when they realize the verses are on par with the sample-heavy, horn-laden heavy beat.  LOST, Dawaun's first offering from the upcoming EP was released in late October and noted for Co-Production with his mentor, Dr. Dre, from many of the most respected Hip-Hop and Music sites.  With LOST getting approx 15,000 downloads in the first 48 hours, Dawaun had made his splash as an artist.

Dawaun Parker has produced, and written for some of the biggest names in hip-hop while working exclusively for Dr. Dre / Aftermath, such as Busta Rhymes, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Eminem, Snoop, T.I., and more.  This Grammy Award Winning Producer steps out from behind the console for his solo artist debut in anticipation of his release of The Decision in Early 2011.
