From DJ Smallz:

Fear Factor Music Group April/May Placements Recap (Ace Hood, Fiend, Slick Pulla)

    Below are three records that were placed in April/May from our producers signed to
    Fear Factor Music Group

    Ace Hood enlists the help of his fellow Floridians, The Renegades, for a mean street cut with Maybach Music Group's Meek Mill. The two's chemistry are perfect.

* *

    Curren$y's New Orleans neighbor and Jets' signee, Fiend aka International Jones, provides the visual to his infectious cut "I Just Wanna Float" produced by Drum Gang, from "The Sweetest Hangover" project

* *

    CTE's Slick Pulla and Bille Slum don't gotta talk, all they gotta do is whip out on this street cut produced by Georgia's own Drum Gang.

April First (A Reinterpretation of Selections from Gil Scott-Heron)

From Joe Left Hand:

Free Album: April First (A Reinterpretation of Selections from Gil Scott-Heron)

Description: Dion Brown - April First (A Reinterpretation of Selections from Gil Scott-Heron)

I decided to create a celebration of music on behalf of the late Great Gil Scott-Heron due to the fact that he was an inspiration of mine. I have always felt that his music was of a reflection of the times, both then & now. His music & poetry spoke with such conviction, that it couldn't be overlooked. Both expressions carried a very meaningful insight in the world that we live in. The music was inspired by whom he was as a person, an artist, and a mentor, & quite honestly another strong connection with this compilation is the fact that I, Dion Brown share the exact same birthday with the late Gil Scott Heron... hence the title, "April First." I hope you enjoy. ~D.Brown

MP3: Vic Freeze - "V.I.C. Power"

From ISLH:

MP3: Vic Freeze - "V.I.C. Power"

With so much "reel talk" out right now, Ohio based Vic Freeze takes us back to the basics with the single "V.I.C Power" from his first solo EP "The Reluctant Star" . Teaming up again with Bay Area producer C.Avery (The Talented Tenth Ep), and mixed by De-App of Ohiosoundlab (Far From Home), this percussion laden, high energy cut was inspired by every day surroundings and the plight of the blue collar, Vic looks to re-establish the bond between hip-hop and community. The single is the lead to a 10 track EP which features production by: Madd Caesar, De-App, and C.Avery. Also with guest appearances by: Paulie Rhyme, Rey Resureccion, Satellite High, and Blayze Kid.

The tentative release for this project will be late June. It will be available for free download.
