MP3: Rah Digga - "Straight Spittin' 4.5"

Brick City's Finest Teams With Marco Polo For Latest In Straight Spittin' Series

The Song:

Just in time for the long weekend, Newark, New Jersey's own Rah Digga is back with the latest in her Straight Spittin' series, "Straight Spittin' 4.5." While Nottz handled production duties on the previous "Straight Spittin IV," in addition to the rest of Digga's highly lauded sophomore album Classic, Digga has teamed up with producer Marco Polo for this short but deadly follow-up track. Atop Marco's guitar plucks, vocal samples, strings, and pounding drums, Digga picks up right where she left off, delivering a non-stop flow of vocal jabs with lines like, "The spitting's comprehensive/ Y'all wordplay's senseless/ I'm spitting every sentence, not knowing where the end is/ I'm spitting, spitting, spitting, 'till there ain't no more remnants/ They saying, What's Next? I'm saying, Back to the beginning."

Rah Digga's sophomore album, Classic, is now available via Raw Koncept Media Group.

PR: Moonshine Bandits Release 'Saturday Afternoon'

From Kerosene Media:

PR: Moonshine Bandits Release 'Saturday Afternoon'

Central California’s Moonshine Bandits have released the track “Saturday Afternoon” featuring Average Joe’s Entertainment’s country singer Sunny Ledfurd online at http://www.facebook.com/moonshinebandits . Moonshine Bandits will release their new album “Whiskey and Women" through Suburban Noize Records on April 12th, 2011. Ledfurd also produced and collaborated with the Bandits on a new song entitled "Los Banos" that will appear on the "Whiskey and Women" project.

"We reached out to Sunny to work with him, and he immediately came up with the concept and hook for 'Saturday Afternoon.' We got Ty Weathers for Tyrant productions to produce it and Eric Hoegemeyer to mix it," commented Bird from Moonshine Bandits. "We wrote our verses and the song took on a life of its own to become a summer song that you can light one up and throw a few back."

Moonshine Bandits' new album “Whiskey and Women" features guest appearances by alt-rocker Big B, Atlanta-based Rehab ("Bartender Song (Sittin' At A Bar)") and Ledfurd. The album also features production by some of the best in both the hip-hop and country worlds including Tyrant (E-40, Bubba Sparxxx, Tech N9ne), Shannon Houchins (TLC, Colt Ford, Usher), and former Uncle Kracker drummer Eric Hoegemeyer.

If there has ever been a way to describe Ledfurd, it has got to be his ability to defy categorization. Born in Chattanooga, TN and growing up in Gaston County, NC, he taught himself guitar at age 15. He knew then that playing the guitar was how he would make a living. Inspired by Guns n Roses, Snoop Dogg and David Allan Coe among others, Ledfurd’s songs continually mix genres and push the envelope.

"I've always liked artists that you can tell they have something to say. They're not just singing some words 'cause it sounds cool," says Sunny Ledfurd. Never one to shy away from a good time... drinking and women are involved in much of the music.  With songs like "I Don't Remember Last Night,"  "Pontoon Boat," "Adderall," and "Myrtle Beach," Ledfurd takes you through life in the south as he sees it and lives it.
