IMMB Celebrates New Album, Releases Second Single From Self-Titled Debut

Critical Praise for IMAKEMADBEATS:

"IMAKEMADBEATS’ scientific approach to music... means every detail and nuance is carefully thought out and in its rightful place." - FreshGrind

The Song:

Two years ago, IMAKEMADBEATS burst onto the scene, producing Transcontinental, a collaborative album with Roc C. Now, following the release late last year of IMMB's dual-EP release Daylight/Nightlight, the producer is releasing his own, long awaited, solo debut. And in celebration of today's release, the producer, who calls both Memphis and Orlando home, is releasing "Heard Of Me," the latest single from his self-titled new album.

"Heard of Me," one of the most triumphant tracks on the album, features Black Milk, Butta Verses, and TzariZM, while showcasing IMAKEMADBEATS' trademark soulful style. Beginning with reverberating organ and slick drum rolls, the track quickly jumps into chopped samples and rolling, thunderous drums, with Black Milk handling duties on the first verse, followed by Butta Verses before being finished off by TzariZM. “I've done a lot of production for either lesser known artists, or very well known artists and just wasn't given the credit, " says IMMB in discussing the inspiration for the song's title while alluding to his past work and ghost production. "Whether it was through engineering, DJ'ing, or production, somehow you might have heard of me.” And with his debut album dropping today, fans should get used to hearing from IMAKEMADBEATS a lot more from now on.

IMAKEMADBEATS' self-titled debut IMAKEMADBEATS is available now via Doxside Music Group.

You can buy the album on Amazon HERE.

The Background:

IMAKEMADBEATS has built his reputation on an obsessive dedication to his craft and a mad scientist-like approach to tweaking samples, drums, and live instruments - proving himself to be both a rapper's producer and a producer's producer. Most people first became aware of IMAKEMADBEATS from his 2009 collaborative project The Transcontinental with Oxnard rhyme-slinger Roc C (a project that featured the likes of Oh No, Big Pooh, Rakaa Iriscience, and Chino XL), which subsequently led to the nationwide Smash Mouf Tour. In addition to the much-anticipated forthcoming Doxside Music Group self-titled debut, IMAKEMADBEATS is also unleashing his dual-EP concept album Daylight/Nightlight, featuring Butta Verses and MidaZ the Beast respectively. Also in the works are projects with Beretta 9 (Wu-Tang's Killarmy), his BlakOut album with MidaZ, an instrumental project, and more placements on projects by artists seeking the "IMAKEMADBEATS" treatment to their music.

The incomparable talents, prolific lyrics and fan base of Slaughterhouse have created a new excitement within hip-hop which ignited a whirlwind buzz.  Rap icon Eminem caught wind of Slaughterhouse and signed them to his label Shady Records.  Slaughterhouse and Eminem will appear on the March 2011 cover of XXL which will be on stands nationwide the same day as the release of The Slaughterhouse E.P., February 8, 2011.

The first single, “Back on the Scene” featuring Dres is being serviced to college and mixshow radio and can be heard here: .

The E.P. features Sheek Louch, Jadakiss, Styles P, Dres, and Iffy, with production by Frequency, Black Milk, Mr. Porter and more.

The group came together only 2 years ago when Joe Budden was working on a song for his Halfway House album and enlisted the services of Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and Royce Da 5’9” for a song called “Slaughterhouse.” Inspired by the vibe of track and the immediate chemistry of the four rappers, a plan was immediately made to form the super-group.  The group released the self-titled Slaughterhouse album last year on eOne Music to incredible critical acclaim.

Kicking off the year with this E.P., Royce Da 5’9” says, “2011 is ours!!!!”

Slaughterhouse is currently planning and gearing up for a tour that will criss-cross the U.S., giving fans and supporters alike the opportunity to see the super-group deliver ground-breaking performances.

From Mello Music Group:

MP3: Oddisee f/ Toine - "Different Now"

Different Now is the final single from Mello Music Group's label compilation Helpless Dreamer.  This one is from senior label member Oddisee featuring his talented lil homie Toine of DTMD.  The track starts out with a soul singer crooning "little signs of distance" foreshadowing the theme to come of maturity and it's affects on attraction.   Oddisee's production opens up with warm strings & synths,  solid drums & hi hats, and a flanging that creates a harmonic series that carries the song forward with ease.  When the first verse comes in Oddisee is found waxing philosphically on how his taste in women has changed:

"She practically handed me the ass, and I could care less, because she lacked class.  The fitting of her dress would have had me at 21.  It's funny son, just a few years older, more revealing's less appealing, and I'm more into shoulders, and other subtleties."

The verse isn't the only thing more honed, as Oddisee's production is polished and shines brightly throughout, offering variations and change ups to keep the listeners ears entertained.  The second verse is contributed by Toine, 1/2 of the group DTMD, who offers and equally compelling look at lifes ever changing landscape.

Oddisee's contribution to the MMG label compilation is more than just Different Now, in fact Oddisee offers up 4 new tracks for listeners on Helpless Dreamer.  The project is yet another step towards Oddisee's big solo effort coming later this year, People Hear What They See, which is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated albums from MMG in 2011.
