Could the future of urban music actually be in good hands? With the release of their debut compilation album "Girls & Headphones", the talented and versatile musicians that comprise OnTrak Entertainment may finally be able to answer that question.

So what exactly differentiates OnTrak Entertainment from countless other up-n-coming musicians? Put simply: Their passion. From the onset of "Girls & Headphones", it is clear that a lot of effort went into making the album. With a sound that can only be described as refreshing, "Girls & Headphones" finds these newcomers consistently delivering creative and well-thought out lyrics pertaining a bevy of different subjects. Whether it be on the catchy Rhythm HB-produced first single, "Dream Love" where she sings about the lover of her dreams or the exhilarating Switch-produced record, "Without Me", where Kharakter delivers clever verses about why he belongs in the music industry, the album manages to be both substantive and easy-to-listen-to; a combination that has been sorely lacking from a majority of releases in today’s music industry.

OnTrak Entertainment has stated that their primary goal while crafting "Girls & Headphones" was to create an album that would be able to cater to people from different walks of life; this is readily apparent with the variety of songs present on the album. Whether it’s the sensual album-starter "Dream Love", the infectious record "Moving Right", or the country-influenced song "For You", the album genuinely contains an assortment of different  genres. The content of the material ranges from light-hearted ("Type B"), seductive ("Dream Love", "In the AM"), to introspective ("Fly To The Top", "Life’s A Movie") and everywhere in between. This desire to try something different, to incorporate new sounds and topics into their music, are one of the things that truly sets them apart from many of their contemporaries.

Fueled by sonically-charged beats that manage to capture the essence of some of Hip-Hop and R&B’s most classic records, while still retaining a contemporary feel, the album is definitely one that will have you talking about OnTrak Entertainment long after you are done listening to it. Production was handled by Rhythm HB, Switch Productions, and Superstar O.

Coming off the heels of performing alongside such artists as Lupe Fiasco, Wiz Khalifa, Girl Talk and All-Time Low, the artists of OnTrak Entertainment are quickly establishing themselves as one of the most promising groups of musicians that Hip-Hop has seen in a long time. So get acquainted with OnTrak Entertainment, and witness the album that has Hip-Hop aficionados and music-listeners alike feeling confident about the future of urban music.
