His Roachy Balboa 2 mixtape placed the Roach firmly in the national spotlight, in addition to earning him his debut national TV appearance on MTV2 Sucker Free, and his EP, Bitch, I'm A Player, gained critical acclaim from outlets including The New York Times, Pitchfork, FADER, Stereogum, and more. TUGE continues his hard-hitting viral surge, with a sure-fire club banger featuring Maybach Music Group's gritty spitter, GUNPLAY, and DJ Khaled's WE THE BEST signee RUM. 250 Million Bubbles, a reference to a recent study that claims that every bottle of ROSÉ contains approximately that amount of carbonation, seamlessly fuses the three artists' sound in a so-arrogant-and-ignorant-that-you-can't-help-but-love-it sort of way! Staying true to the IGNORANT ELEGANCE theme of his upcoming mixtape, TUGE has orchestrated a record that takes an elegant/high class social lubricant, and introduces it to the G's, over an obnoxiously hardcore sound provided by producer RICHMUZIK. A MUST HEAR RECORD!
Below is a draft of a new song by Teagus and me over a rearrangement of the Go-Go song called "Crank That" by DC's own The Northeast Groovers. I’m working on two mixtapes- one based on Electro, Dance & Dubstep music and the other based on Washington, DC’s native Go-Go music. Go-Go is an often forgotten part of Hip-Hop culture that mostly resides in the Greater Washington Area. Here is the You Tube link and the download link.
We are incredibly proud to announce the release of Matty’s latest album, Mr. Nice Guy, on January 31, 2012. This is Matty’s 7th project released to the public since 2007 and will be released for free on the online northwest lifestyle magazine weouthere.net. Matty has already released the first single off of this project entitled “Take it Personal” and was very well received. In conjunction with the release of this album, Matty will be doing shows all around the Northwest Region and will be coordinating a 31 city tour in May/June that will take him to seven different states to promote his music and perform.
Matty’s music has been described by multiple publications as a “refreshing and vital part of the Northwest hip-hop scene”. His fusion of complex rhymes schemes, delivery, beat decisions and energetic live show has gained him a respectable reputation regionally and it’s only a matter of time before Matty makes his presence known outside of his normal demographic.
In the past, Matty has released high quality music and collaborated with some of music’s best. It’s possible that this album is his best work to date. Previously, he has consistently had lots of features on his projects and he decided to only have two on this album. Feeling like this will be an eye opening experience for most, a predominately solo album seemed right.
The next single from this album entitled “We Got That” will be released shortly with a music video closely following.
SRNC Presents Clew Rock, Scheme, Astonish and Jamal Science - Red Carpet (Remake)
Clew Rock, Scheme, Astonish and Jamal Science got together to knock out a remake of the Red Carpet joint from Evidence’s album which was produced by the Alchemist. It’s one of the best beats to come out as of recent so the SRNC team decided to re-do it in their own way.
