PR: House of Pain Announces 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour

From Kerosene Media:

House of Pain Announces 20th Anniversary Reunion Tour

EVERLAST and DANNY BOY are kicking off the 20th anniversary of HOUSE OF PAIN in style! That’s right, for the first time since their split in 1996 the duo is teaming up once again for the “He Who Breaks The Law” world tour that is sure to be one of the most anticipated of the year. The US leg of HOUSE OF PAIN’S 20-year celebration will kick-off in March and sees the storied group on their first proper tour since reuniting last year for their highly praised reunion at KROQ’s Epicenter event alongside Eminem and KISS, amongst others.

“The catalyst of this whole thing was the KROQ show,” EVERLAST explains, “We left Epicenter and immediately started putting this whole thing together. We’ve been reading messages from the fans who wanted to see it; but once you see a crowd that size go crazy and sing along to every word, you know it’s time to do it. We want to give the fans what they want!”

"It's been 20 years in the making and long overdue! Back to the House of Pain 2011 tour Let's go!" added Danny Boy O'Connor.

HOUSE OF PAIN will also be bringing some hefty support on this tour in the form of BIG B,  SLAINE and SOZAY. Fans can expect these shows to be a full on party with HOUSE OF PAIN and their brothers in music rocking each crowd like it’s their last. Bay-Area Supergroup Releases New Single In Conjunction With Akomplice Collaboration

The Song:

With the legendary Hieroglyphics crew's West Coast Tour, presented by Marvel vs. Capcom 3 well underway and going well, the Bay-Area supergroup are releasing a new song "Exciting" in conjunction with a Hiero-inspired hooded varsity jacket from Akomplice Clothing. Taking their already popular hooded varsity jacket, Akomplice has created a unique version bearing both the Hiero and Akomplice logo. Creating the original track "Exciting" just for the occasion, the collaboration shows off the talents of what both parties do best.

This no-holds-barred track points out the flaws of other crews by showing off the lyrical word play of the legendary Hiero crew. The mix of celebratory horns and shimmering guitar riffs provide the perfect backdrop as Opio kicks things off with, "Cause I'm exciting/ Pleasurable but listening I'm only tryna tell you what your records keep on missing/ I'm only tryna help out your crew/ It really doesn’t matter cause you don’t know what your doing." The track is the Hiero crew at its best and a glimpse into what to expect in 2011.

Download Hieroglyphics' "Exciting" here: http://media.audibletreats.com/Hieroglyphics-Exciting.mp3 .

Hiero will be embarking on their final three stops on a six-date West Coast tour, presented by Marvel's Marvel vs. Capcom 3.

PR: Saigon Helps the Homeless in NYC

From Mitchell Dudley:

Saigon Helps the Homeless in NYC

The Yardfather recently lent a helping hand to his New York community.

Brooklyn, New York emcee Saigon has recently been volunteering at Manhattan's Bowery Mission, to ensure that the homeless are warm this cold winter.

On the horizon of releasing his highly-anticipated studio debut, The Greatest Story Never Told on Suburban Noize Records, Just Blaze's longtime protégé distributed blankets at the mission where fellow Hip Hop acts like KRS-One have previously been involved.

“Me and some friends of mine, the Ahuja's that own a garment manufacturing company, took to the very cold streets of New York City over these past couple of nights to hand out warm blankets to help the homeless stay warm,” commented Saigon in a label press release. “We covered Port Authority, Penn Station and the Bowery Mission Homeless shelter handing out over a hundred blankets. I did it because I had a little down time after finishing up my album and my friends, the Aluhja's, had some extra blankets so we decided to go hand them out to the homeless. If we can prevent one person from freezing to death out there on the streets, that makes everything worth it. I wish more Hip Hop artists would step up and help give something back to their communities. If everyone used the power they have to lend a helping hand, hopefully it would inspire others to do the same.”
