PR: KnuERA is Hip Hop's KnuAge Warrior

From Artist PR Wire:

KnuERA is Hip Hop's KnuAge Warrior

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KNUERA IS HIP HOP'S KNUAGE WARRIOR
LOS ANGELES, CA - 11/9/10

With his first single "Kiss Me Girl" off his KnuAge Warrior album, artist KnuERA hopes to be a magnet and focus for adoring fans around the world. His sound which features futuristic beats and catchy lyrics are sure to bring a fresh feel to the airwaves. As an ambitious artist, KnuERA has honed his talents as MC, live performer, dancer and rapper which makes him so much more than a triple threat and an artist to watch.

Born Evan Lee Cunningham in 1983 in Jackson, TN to a teen mother, Evan was adopted by his grandparents at birth and moved to Colorado Springs shortly thereafter. At the age of 10, he was re-introduced to the south when his grandparents moved to Memphis, TN While there he was introduced to the Memphis music scene by his uncles who were also pursuing a career in the music industry. They took on brotherly roles in his life, planting the seeds of interest that would one day bloom into the manifestation which is KnuERA. He carried that passion for music with him all the way to California where he raised his profile by engaging audiences through several local appearances and mingling in different circles. By working those angles he found the right connections to develop his style and pursue his dream. The KnuAge Warrior album is set to drop worldwide in mid spring 2011 and is set on course to re-invent the music and entertainment industry.

PR: Sum - "The Nobody Hole" - Sci-Fi Hip-Hop Opera

From Dunn Deal PR:

Sum - "The Nobody Hole" - Sci-Fi Hip-Hop Opera

The Nobody Hole a multi-media experience encompassing music and visuals

stream and purchase at sumworld.bandcamp.com

From his 2006 debut Lil Folk to last year's blues-hop Lone Wolf album to this year's Metal Tiger EP courtesy of his band The Milky Way, NC-born, NYC-groomed, L.A. residing lyric laureate Sum has made it his business to confound expectations. Now he presents The Nobody Hole, a dark hip-hop opera and all-out experiment in songwriting, storytelling and visual art. For years after this project was first revealed to the public in 2006, The Nobody Hole was only given to a select group of people. Although available for streaming for the whole world to listen to, the project was never available for download. Until now.

The story follows the main character, Pygmy Paul, through a twisted world that is a shadow of our own. This isn't a loose concept album, rather a literary piece set to music. Borrowing themes from Alice in Wonderland, Edgar Allan Poe, Star Wars, ancient mythologies, fables and many other influences, The Nobody Hole tells a somewhat familiar tale in a totally new way. All music is composed entirely by Brooklyn-based producer Badtouch. All songs and narration is penned by Sum, and the story is told through rhyme, song and lyric. The download contains lyrics and narration for the entire opera, as well as individual artwork for each song, courtesy of the Nobody Hole artists Doug Hoffman, Jared Rogness, Jeffrey Hurst and Jerome Lewis.

"....SumKid has built quite the career on being a creative and unique individual. To say he bucks the usual trends in hip-hop would be an understatement. From The Lil Folk, to The Nobody Hole, to “Chuck Norris on Drugs,” everything SumKid does is a multilayered piece of art." -BEYOND RACE
