WORLD PREMIERE! Perfeck Strangers "Ghetto" Music Video

Introducing Perfeck Strangers!

Directed by Andre Rehal, the "Ghetto" music video captures Dan-e-o and
Promise as a musical tag-team for the first time!

Veteran Toronto emcees Dan-e-o and Promise are now tackling the world of
music as a tandem. It's easy to say that Perfeck Strangers are an unlikely
pair, but when listening to their music you would think they have been
rhyming together for years.

Both accomplished rappers in their own rights, their union presents a
"perfeck" melding of talent in the vein of Hip Hop's most heralded duos,
such as Black Star, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest and Little Brother.

Dan-e-o and Promise have even been compared to legendary tag-teams like
EPMD and Das EFX for the way they effortlessly flip lines back and forth
with each other.

In 2012, their debut album, "Series Premiere" will air worldwide, with
distribution via URBNET Records.

"Ghetto" is also available on URBNET's "Underground Hip-Hop Volume 07" compilation.

Beaus$Eros, the seventh full-length from indie rap trailblazer Busdriver , forgoes the lightening-speed rhyming that defined his style in favor of a diverse, off-kilter brand of pop and post-hip-hop. Called “ technically impressive as an MC can get” by Pitchfork and others, Busdriver has made his most personal and avant-garde work yet with Beaus$Eros. Focusing on a devastating break-up and personal failure, the album is buttered in stirring melodies and complex vocals. In step with Busdriver's recent work with forward-thinking producers Flying Lotus, Modeselektor, Nosaj Thing and others, the production on Beaus$Eros takes root in beat music, lush IDM, and sythpop. FADER recently made the initial album announcement and posted the first single "No Blacks No Jews No Asians," and Busdriver kept things going by teaming up with John Dieterich of Deerhoof for a remix of Raleigh Moncrief's "In This Grass." Beaus$Eros has an adjusted North American release date of February 14th, 2012 (with the digital release set for 1/24/12).

Inarguably one of the premiere risk takers in modern indie rap, Busdriver has been a fixture in the scene for ten years, releasing compelling left-field rap albums on taste-maker labels like Mush, Big Dada, Alphapup, Polyvinyl and Anti-. Performing and collaborating regularly with acts likes The Roots, CocoRosie, Aesop Rock, The Glitch Mob, Deerhoof, the beatmakers of Low End Theory and more, his place in the network of left-leaning musicians is as unique as it’s ever been.

Up-and-coming Belgian production wiz Loden doctors every moment on Beaus$Eros as the album’s only producer. Without ever physically meeting or speaking live, the two manage an electric synergy that usually comes from years of working together. Loden’s Hindenburg-sized beats push Busdriver’s croons and spat thoughts into head-turning territory. Think Bjork’s Post filtered through the sensibility of Outkast’s The Love Below with outsider artist goals hidden in every measure. Beaus$Eros is the colorful sum of his wildly adaptive voice in music and proof that he still reigns over entire undiscovered worlds to which his loyal following is now invited.

Fresh off Constant Deviants' recently released mixtape, Platinum, comes the video for "Fulton Street." The song is an ambient ode to Brooklyn by rapper M.I. and producer DJ Cutt, who split their time between Baltimore and New York City, and the duo worked with iHenry of Above Ground Studios and Jimmy Powell to shoot the video, appropriately, on the legendary street from which the song title pulls its name.

The visual is a behind-the-scenes glance at the inspiration for the song, with shots of M.I. writing lyrics and getting tattooed at a Brooklyn parlor, matched against a variety of landmarks and striking imagery from the neighborhood. "Since 'Fulton Street' represents Brooklyn so much, we had to do it right in the middle of Bed-Stuy, where it's undeniably Brooklyn," explains M.I. "I'm from Baltimore, but lived in the Stuy for a long time, so it is a part of me now."

Record Store Day was conceived four years ago as a celebration of the independent record store. It's the one day a year that artists and retailers come together to celebrate the unique culture of the record store, and during that day (celebrated on the third Saturday every April), there are tons of exclusive titles made available specifically to independent music retail.

As an adjunct to Record Store Day, there are several titles being released exclusively to participating record stores on November 25th, otherwise known as Black Friday. This date is generally acknowledged to be the official kickoff to the holiday season, and is also the biggest shopping day of the year. Two of these titles come from a pair of legendary artists who have achieved success in the reggae and pop genres.

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jimmy Cliff
will be releasing his  first studio effort in seven years, the Sacred Fire EP, through Collective Sounds on November 29th . It was produced by Rancid's  Tim Armstrong and features a combination of originals and covers. For Black Friday,  fans will be able to purchase a limited edition colored 12-inch vinyl version of the EP, which will feature an exclusive track entitled "World Upside Down."  Rolling Stone magazine reports that "working with Rancid's Tim Armstrong, Cliff cuts his best music in decades." Jimmy Cliff will be releasing a brand new full-length studio album in early 2012.

Meanwhile, Matisyahu is releasing an uplifting song entitled "Miracle," which was produced by Dr. Luke protégé Kool Kojak (Katy Perry, Ke$ha, FloRida). has already called "Miracle" "the greatest Chanukah song ever," and Matisyahu himself says "I wanted to try to get across some of the depth and spirituality inherent in the holiday in a fun, celebratory song." A limited edition 7" vinyl version of the song is being released through Fallen Sparks/Thirty Tigers on Black Friday, which features a B-side remix with a guest appearance by The Dub Trio.

For those in the New York area, Matisyahu will be doing a special performance Looney Tunes in West Babylon, NY on Black Friday (November 25th) at 12 PM.
