Video: H2-O - "Don't Compare Me"

Paterson, New Jersey lyricist H2-O unveils his new music video for the second single "Don't Compare Me" from his eagerly awaited mixtape "RESET" (8/10/2010) via Silk City Records. The video, which was directed by Tod Medvedich, was shot in H2-O's hometown of Paterson aka Silk City.

"The purpose of 'Don't Compare Me' was to take it back to my grassroots…both physically and musically. Growing up in Silk City, I had to have lyrical battles in order to get respect. In high school, I made quite a name for myself doing so, which is why it is important to establish lyrical respect before anything else," says the New Jersey rhymespitter.

"The video was filmed in the heart of Paterson, NJ. The video offers visuals to some of the places you are likely to see if you ever take a pilgrimage through my wonderful city.  It also offers a glimpse into the grassroots of my lyrical abilities and showcases the places and conditions from which me and my music derived."

"Don't Compare Me" is the second music video from "RESET" after H2-O already released "Who's That" (click here to watch), an explosive song that introduces the emcee’s incredible microphone skills to the masses.

"RESET" will be available on August 10, 2010 via Silk City Records.

Just wanted to pass along this record for your listening and/or posting pleasure.

We're almost ready to release John's solo debut album "Sorry I'm Late", which features Marsha Ambrosius, Joell Ortiz, Skyzoo, Sha Stimuli, PackFM, Nottz, Needlz, YZ, 88-Keys and more.

This song isn't on the album, but figured I'd pass it along. I'm also including a link to some of the snippets off the album.

Enjoy!
