Producer JButtah, Edley Shine of Born Jamericans, Team With Mark Morrison For Ja50 Tribute, "I Am What I Am" Dancehall Refix
Core DJ Producer JButtah, and Edley Shine formerly of Born Jamericans, have teamed with British R&B singer Mark Morrison to deliver a hot Dancehall remix for the summer of 2012, of Mark Morrison's upcoming new single "I Am What I Am". The refix pays tribute to Jamaica's 50th year of independence.
Mark Morrison, born in Germany, to Bajan parents, released hits such as "Return of the Mack", and "Moan & Groan". He is currently finishing his third studio album, also titled "I Am What I Am". Last month Morrison featured on Trae Tha Truth's "I'm On 2.0", which landed MTV's Jam of the Week on the day of it's release. Edley Shine, formerly of hip-hop/reggae duo Born Jamericans, who were among the first to transcend the barrier that conventional dancehall music now enjoys, by creating a hybrid of hip-hop and dancehall music, has also worked with legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder ("Tomorrow Robins Will Sing"), and KRS-One. VA native, DJ JButtah has garnered recognition with production credits including Trey Songz, Swizz Beatz, Red Café, and Cassidy. Recently producing Fat Joe "Blackout", Jadakiss "Hold You Down". His refixes of Beyonce "Party" and Michael Jackson "Butterflies" have also created reactions at Radio worldwide.
