Review by Steve 'Flash' Juon Artist: Fat Joe f/ Pleasure P Title: Aloha Label: Imperial Records Don't get me wrong - when it comes to swagger Fat Joe's got as much if not MORE right to walk it and talk it than most rappers who use the phrase today. All that being said, his lines still come across as cornball here. "Touched a couple plots, got the dough and skate off/And just like Bernie, me and my baby Madoff." Ouch. Pleasure P's chorus is equally corny: "They say - hello, hello, hello, A-LO-HA (a-lo-ha) because they know that I'm the shit." They do? Why? They say hello and goodbye because you're fly? Did you even think about that when you wrote it P? Rico Love's broken squeaky keyboard shifts and dirty bottom synths sound like a bad mixture between The Runners and The Alchemist without incorporating the best of either. Somehow I think because of the sound and the featured artist this one will chart anyway.
