Aesop The Don makes music to tell a story, of a young man, coming to a new world, a new culture and language, and making a name for himself. Aesop The Don looks at hip hop as an art, and every word is poetry. Having gone to high school in the Bahamas, his influences range far and wide; from reggae artists such as Damian Marley, Gyptian, Jah cure, to African artists like Fally Ipupa, and hip hop legends such as Nas, Jay Electronica, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and the modern Kanye West.
