Back with another cut from his highly anticipated upcoming debut album Don Cusack In High Fidelity, Donwill, one third of critically acclaimed Tanya Morgan, is proud to release the latest single, "Pu**y Rules The World." Don't let the name of the track fool you though. "The song is about being more critical of chasing skirts," says Donwill. "It's not a song degrading women, but more so questioning motives." The song also features west coast emcees Mykestro and Bad Lucc who spit well-crafted verses about their own experiences and motives when dealing with the fairer sex. A drum infused beat and grooving bass line collide yet leave enough space on the sonic landscape for the emcees to tell their lyrical tales. Echoing the overall theme of the song, Donwill reminds listeners that life has much more to offer than what many people get caught up with. "If your world is ruled by cash, clothes, cars or girls, you should improve your life. 'Cus there is A LOT more out there." Be sure to take note, as a little insight from Donwill goes a long way.

The Background:

Donwill is one-third of hip-hop group Tanya Morgan, formed in 2003, who recently released their third full-length album Brooklynati in 2009. With the high praise from Rolling Stone and Time Out New York that Brooklynati garnered,Donwill is now ready to release his own album, Don Cusack in High Fidelity on March 23rd, 2010. The maxi-single of "Laura's Song," complete with the album version, radio edit, instrumental and a couple of remixes is now available for purchase on iTunes. The album will be released by Bay Area label Interdependent Media.
