Scarface Offers Free Megamix Download on Amazon

Scarface

Today, legendary southern rapper Scarface released a free Megamix single which highlights several songs from his upcoming mixtape, Dopeman Music, exclusively on Amazon.com.  Dopeman Music is slated for official release digitally on May 4th (physically May 11th) from Scarface’s own Facemob Music, coming to us via Houston-based label Deep Distribution.

The Megamix single includes three and a half minutes of music especially created for fans to get a sneak preview of Scarface’s highly anticipated street album, Dopeman Music, following his 2 year hiatus from the music business.

Although Scarface had announced that he was retiring from the rap game forever  with his last album Emeritus, his fans are ecstatic that the South’s most admired rapper has decided to come out of retirement, realizing that music is in his blood and it always will be.  In an interview with MTV, he stated that he was a musician and pioneer and that he felt the need to move onto another stage with the way he delivers his music to the public.  That’s part of the reason why Scarface decided to release Dopeman Music on his own label imprint Facemob Music. Get a taste of the new project with the free Megamix download below.

An exclusive single from Dopeman Music was also released on Verizon this week.  Verizon subscribers can now purchase the single “Lyrical Assault” exclusively at the Vcast store.  For non-Verizon customers, you’ll just have to wait until next week, when Dopeman Music hits all other digital stores!

Scarface has been busy with a series of interviews lately as well.  Check him out on Street Disciplez Radio, posted by SOHH.com, where he makes the big, yet fitting, statement, “I am hip-hop dude, I was a part of hip-hop when it had no f*cking boundaries.”  Hip Hop DX did a great interview that was so long, they posted a preview last week, with the rest of the goods scheduled to go up any day now.  Yo! Raps posted an excellent convo with the rapper today.  And make sure to pick up the June issue of XXL Magazine, which will include what’s sure to be another killer interview feature with Scarface.
