MP3: Bay Area's Moe Green Releases "Ride" & "Non Title Match"

Moe Green Enters The Ring With Two Tracks Off His Upcoming Album Rocky Maivia

Critical Praise for Moe Green:

Selected as a member of 106 KMEL's (the biggest Bay Area hip-hop station) Freshmen Class of 2010.

The Songs:

Hip-hop's rising star, Moe Green enters the ring a virtual one-man tag-team offering up two new tracks: "Ride" and "Non Title Match", both from his upcoming album Rocky Maivia on Interdependent Media. Moe Green's currency has been steadily rising as KMEL, the Bay Area's popular and longest running Urban format radio station named the upstart emcee to its prestigious 10 Freshmen list.

"Ride" is the perfect summer banger, with a soulful laid-back groove constructed by up-and-coming beatsmith MT The Great. "I actually met him on Twitter one day", Moe says of the collaboration, "he sent me the track that night, and the next day I recorded the song", he explained. Moe Green is a part of the new generation of artists who are not only unafraid to try new things, but have adopted a free-spirited approach to making records given the liberties of the digital age.

"Non Title Match" switches gears a bit taking listeners from the lazy backseat driver feel of "Ride" to a classic head-nodder, with a playful piano roll that duels with Moe's infectious flow. The track showcases Moe's undeniable skill where word-play and charisma work towards creating something special. Hailing from Vallejo, a Bay Area town with a long history of hip-hop legends, Moe Green has a lot to live up to when Rocky Maivia drops this summer. With track like these he's certainly up to the challenge.
