MP3: Jake One and Fatal Lucciauno "Cry For Help"

"Cry For Help"

As the former hype man for Seattle's D.Black, Fatal Lucciauno is known for freestyles and for being an intelligent rapper with street knowledge and credibility.  In 2007 his debut album "The Only Forgotten Son"earned him a slot in URB's NEXT 1000 and the attention of Seattle's top producer Jake One. You can expect to hear more from the pair in the future, but for now this will have to do. In this song Lucciauno says " Its a response to the negative image some local press painted of me while he I was locked up a couple of years ago" Cry For Help also doubles as an awareness message, asking that people listen to the youth when they act out, because it can be too late by time we realize they're asking for help.

Critical Praise for Fatal Lucciauno:

The Most talked about rapper in Seattle right now is Fatal Lucciauno -The Seattle Times

Everyone should go out and get this album, everyone!!!!!!!!
It's one of the most refreshing and original albums to hit the Hip Hop scene in a long time with fresh, original, gritty and real lyricism combined with the unique but reminiscent of Scarface and Nas voice of Fatal Lucciauno, make this an album to own. -Ya Heard Music Reviews
With a flow which sounds something like Shyne meets Lloyd Banks, plus an enormous chip on his shoulder, Fatal L. is here to keep hustling like a true rap Don. -URB Magazine
Poetic, potent, hard-hitting hip-hop from an artist with solid street credentials, amazing freestyling skill and a powerful drive for self-expression. -Gene Stout/Seattle PI

Like many young black men in America, Fatal Lucciauno (born Rahmeece Chevosier Howell) fell into the cycle of street life and drug dealing. What makes Fatal different than your average thug on the street is his obvious old soul, which you come to understand when you first meet him.  After delving deeper into his music and personality you begin to understand that he also has an extremely keen sense of history and people.  Lucciauno began as a battle rapper on street corners, playgrounds and public buses, after realizing there was more than just competition pumping in his blood; he pursued his desire to create music.  At the age of fifteen he became the second solo artist signed to Sportn' Life Records, and the hype man for D.Black.  It's Fatal's Intelligent and unique approach to street rap sets hip apart from the heard.

Co-Founded in 2002 by DeVon Manier, Sportn' Life Records currently serves as the longest operating independent Hip Hop record label in Seattle.  The labels roster includes D.Black, Fatal Lucciauno, Spaceman, SK and Marissa. .
