Review by Steve 'Flash' Juon
Artist: The Game"I +Get Money+ like Junior M.A.F.I.A. used to/On my way to school, ten thousand in my FUBU/Lunch time, I was sellin/Behind the bungalos, baggin up rocks the size of melons." Jayceon Taylor certainly hasn't changed up his style, although he's still claiming Dr. Dre on wax by saying "no I'm not [him] but I still produce the same shit." I know Dre is a hip-hop legend but considering he hasn't put out a new record in years and (considering his curren't apathy) isn't likely to do one anytime soon perhaps Dre references should be retired. In fact as much as I like the Cool & Dre produced track Game raps over, the fact he says "I make you HOLLA HOLLA like Ja Rule" suggests he's stuck in a hip-hop time warp anywhere from 5-10 years old. It's time for The Game to stop dropping references to everybody else and start referencing himself. He's got "big dogs, big wheels, big chains" but still seems to have some sort of inferiority complex that's totally unnecessary given he's superior to so many of his West coast contemporaries.
