MP3: Hell Razah - "Araboth"

Hell Razah Provides Fans With An Emotional CD-Only Bonus Track

The Song:

Those who pick up the CD version of Hell Razah's recent sophomore album, Heaven Razah, are in for an unexpected gift if they keep their ears open. Despite only listing 15 tracks, a hidden bonus track, "Araboth," appears towards the end of the final song, "Armageddon."

The song provides an emotional high note for the album to end on. Rapping over an acoustic guitar and string arrangement, Hell Razah takes us through his teenage years, describing both the successes and hardships that went along with them. Additionally, one of the final lines is given extra weight in light of the emcee's recent health issues. "The body is weak but the spirit is strong / The truth is deep but you can't hear it too long," he rhymes. Hell Razah gives everything he's got to his fans and this bonus cut is testament to that.

Hell Razah's long-awaited sophomore LP, Heaven Razah, is out now via Nature Sounds, with all proceeds being donated to Razah and his family.

The Background:

In recent years, Brooklyn-bred MC Hell Razah has become one of the most prolific artists in hip-hop’s underground, releasing albums with 4th Disciple, T.H.U.G. Anglez, Blue Sky Black Death, and his super-group, Black Market Militia (Razah, Tragedy Khadafi, Killah Priest, and Timbo King). The Wu-Tang Clan affiliate and former Sunz of Man member released his acclaimed debut Renaissance Child in 2007, and fans have been eagerly awaiting his follow-up ever since. However, a health emergency landed Razah in the hospital in April, just after he finished recording his new album, Heaven Razah, available nowthrough Nature Sounds. Heaven Razah marks a rebrith for Razah, who has re-fashioned himself as a modern day hip-hop prophet, spitting spiritual wisdom about the apocalypse, the presence of demons, mortality, and the afterlife.
