MP3: Isaiah Toothtaker - "Crime Killz x Human Suit (Mike Gao Remix)"
Machina Muerte Capo Enlists Mike Gao For Illuminati Thug Mafia Remix
Isaiah Toothtaker continues to keep listeners on edge with his latest album, Illuminati Thug Mafia. Scheduled to take the stage this spring at the Paid Dues Festival with his Machina Muerte label, Toothtaker is now treating fans with the latest remix from the album, "Crime Killz x Human Suit." The original version for the song, the self-titled collaboration between Crime Killz (Tony Nickelplated & Nate NoFace) and Human Suit (Isaiah Toothtaker & Mestizo), serves as the final song on the album.
The remix, which retains all previous members from the original version of the track, finds the foursome teaming up with producer Mike Gao, who has become renowned both for his production work and his boundary-pushing work with the MPC. (It's safe to say not too many other people have developed a contraption that allows control of the midi-sampler using only a mouthpiece.) In contrast to the original, Gao provides a new touch to the track, with bass heavy drums, rolling distorted synths and a variety of off-kilter pad synths giving the track a fittingly electro and melodic feel for Isaiah Toothtaker's half-crooned flow.
Isaiah Toothtaker's newest album Illuminati Thug Mafia is available now via Machina Muerte/Alpha Pup.

Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona in a broken home, Isaiah Toothtaker was kicked out at age 11 and quickly learned to defend himself, often resorting to violence. Throughout his violent young adulthood, Isaiah relied on music to identify with and it provided the soundtrack to his teenage antics of stealing cassettes and walkmans and riding the public transport all city to tag, battle rap, sell dime bags and acid tabs, and fist fight. He began tattooing under the tutelage of the local Hells Angels, leading him to open his own parlor, STARING WITHOUT CARING, which has won numerous Best in City awards over the years. Throughout all the trouble, Isaiah has been able to duck or beat charges, until recently, when he landed multiple violent felonies on record. Built from misery and built to destroy, he has since co-founded the label Machina Muerte with Mestizo, the duo also forming the group HUMANSUIT. Since 2001, Isaiah has independently released one EP and three full-length albums (one with rapper Murs) and his forthcoming album Illuminati Thug Mafia is available now via Machina Muerte/Alpha Pup Records.
